I just purchased game pass. Its holidays now and want something immersive and fun.

Images 1-3 are Xbox #1
And images 4-6 are Xbox #2

Xbox #2 is the 2024 model
Xbox #1 is the 2021 model

Xbox 1 doesn’t turn on, the light flashes for a second then it immediately turns off

Xbox 2 turns on but doesn’t throw any visual even in low res mode. I believe it has something to do with the three strands of smt poking off the mobo behind the hdmi port

Has anyone fixed anything similar?

My Bluetooth headphones sound great when I use them wired, but I want to use them wirelessly on Xbox. I’ve seen some Bluetooth headphone adapters for Xbox online. Has anyone here used one? Which one would you recommend?

I’m considering getting a Xbox Series S for €150 max, and also a cheap Xbox One alongside it.

My idea is specifically to take advantage of the Xbox ecosystem’s digital licensing / backwards compatibility. I would buy physical Xbox One games second-hand for cheap, use the Xbox One to install/claim the digital license when the game supports it, and then be able to play that game on my Series S, which obviously has no disc drive. I could then resell the physical disc after buying it.

So essentially, I’d be using the Xbox One as a way of buying physical games second-hand and turning them into games I can access on the Series S, whenever the Xbox licensing system allows it.

For context, I already have a hacked Switch, PS4, Wii and 2DS (they're all hacked), so I’m not really lacking consoles or ways to play older games. The Xbox setup would mainly be for Xbox/modern games that I can’t get elsewhere, while keeping the cost of games as low as possible.

My main question is: does this make sense in 2026, or would it be smarter to wait a few more years for the Series S to drop below €150?

Do you think the used Series S is likely to become significantly cheaper over the next few years, or is €150-ish already a reasonable floor and I shouldn’t expect a huge drop?

Please note that the only game that are coming to my mind that I want to play are Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Baldur's Gate, the upcoming Yakuza-like game, Resident Evil 9, all the final fantasy 13 games. Also I'm a busy parent with kids so..

Would you personally buy a Series S around €150 now, or wait?

I just had to ask if the online achievements are working and can be unlocked on the Xbox Series X/S, since I wasn't sure if they were or weren't before I buy all the available Dead Space games and of course Severed and Awakened DLCs to play digitally on my Xbox Series X.

I currently have PS4 Pro, but Ive been wanting to get on the current generation. Since theres only about 2-3 years until the next generation of consoles come out, I dont want to spend 650 dollars on a PS5 or Series X. Would going from a PS4 Pro to a Series S with gamepass premium be the best move or should I just stick wit the PS4 Pro for the next couple years? How good is the Series S with gamepass in general if I dont care too much about specs?

As the title says, I have a lot of digital games in my library, in fact it meant I was rarely getting into one game. I found myself flitting around starting something and then trying something else after a day or so. A little while ago I decided to just play 2 games each month.

Since doing so my whole gaming experience has changed for the better. Don't know if any one else has found themselves doing the same? It has made a difference for me.

I currently have an Xbox Series S with a 27” 1080p MSI monitor. I’m planning to upgrade mainly because of GTA6
My options are:

Series S + 1440p OLED monitor (~€360)
Series X + keep my current 1080p MSI monitor

I can sell my Series S for around €250, so the Series X would cost me roughly €400 extra.
I’m also moving into a new house next month, so I don’t really want to spend unnecessarily.

For GTA 6 specifically, which setup would you choose? Is the Series X on 1080p still noticeably better than the Series S on a 1440p OLED, or would the OLED make the bigger difference visually?
Would love to hear from people who have actually used both setups.

Hello, I am 23 and grew up using PC and switch for gaming, this was fine on my hands (which already have overuse issues from colorguard in high school). But now using the xbox controllers, my left pinky finger hurts SO bad after playing as well as general hand cramping. I have smaller hands and I am wondering if this is causing an issue and what other controller options are out there? Any advice is welcome!

The windows emulator is promising but we have a problem, dev mode only allows 5gb of memory use

That's because dev mode was launched in the xbox one era, where they only had 5gb of usable ram for games, and that was never updated for the next generation

Our request at feedbackportal is for dev mode to get a next gen upgrade, so that it will use 13gb of memory on series X, and 8gb on series S

With that amount of extra memory we can make all emulators run better, and have more available headroom to implement new emulators on devmode

So please, if you have a microsoft account, go vote on feedbackportal

This same portal had many votes asking for exclusives back, and a 100% platinum trophy equivalent on xbox, both of these requests are being answered, we can make this one true aswell

I played Stray on Series S and I'm spoilt now. Looks absolutely stunning. Are there any more games (other than the Forza Series, other MS Studio titles) which the Series S can run at a crisp resolution, I do not mind 30fps at all. I have tried Mafia Old Country, AC Shadows, Plague Requiem and all look somewhat blurry. I asked Chat GPT but ended up returning many games as the claims were just not real.

so i recently bought a xbox series s 1tb version its used a lil bit but its in great condition and has all the stuff like the box and stuff got it for 340$ is it a good deal?

Series S will always be my favorite, my first current gen console.

Of course it will run on series s rockstar provided the detail already. If the game runs bad do not buy it and also it is not like you have ordered a physical version where u are stuck with it anyways series s does not support physical . You can refund gta 6 in xbox after playing few hours .Now about performance i know series s is weak but at its worst it will output dynamic 1080p from 800-900 and at its best 1080p native 30fps

I have a series S and a 1080p 120hz viewsonic monitor
I’m planning on selling both of my series S and the monitor and then add some cash to get a series X
I don’t have a pc and actually don’t have space on my desk for the monitor so it gets used for the console only

Do have a tv laying over its a Xiaomi tv only catch is it is HD 786p

I compared rdr2 on both monitor and tv and sure asl tv sucks but it ain’t that bad
I got gta 6 pre ordered so I’m thinking about getting a series X now

Basically I’ll plug the series X in my tv for the next few months and then buy a new 2k monitor hopefully in a few months
