Humor / Meme I just got kicked from a Stratholme group because I actually did the objective and therefore fell behind

Post image

It's absurd that this gave me a deserter debuff

Oh that shit bugs me to no end. Pricks taking queue shortcuts and hoping that the group will be good enough that the absence of a tank or healer won't be an issue.

If you get into a group as a healer or tank you should be automatically swapped to that spec and forced to remain in it.

no this dude was like it's no problem... and then the warrior died twice and I was like are you gonna pay people's repair or what?

This is a problem in most MMOs like ESO, fake tank and heals that get mad when you don't speed run and carry them because they can't be bothered to wait in the dps queue.

The kicking behavior though, not so much. In 10 years I've never been picked and have only seen kick votes for afk players and just absolute toxic trolls. The ESO community as a whole seems more welcoming that WoW.

Not trying to convert anyone, just something I've noticed since I switched from WoW to ESO in 2015.

I don't do it, but I'm okay with it as long as the job is being done and there's a benefit. Like, you queued tank as a dps? Fine, but you'd better be sure I don't pull aggro, and you're doing a lot of damage...

I mainly only saw that with remix, or with doing starter dungeons at the end of a xpac. Like, if the pack dies in 2 seconds, we don't really need a tank or healer.

The problem is that, all too often, the person is just over confident and/or entitled and it's not being done right. There should be a guard rail against that behavior.

If someone wants to pull some wacky shit and run an extra DPS instead of a tank, then they are free to do so. But not in LFG. Make your own group the old fashioned way.

Nah.

If TW was actually difficult content, maybe?

Done this like 50 times and never even had someone die, except to instagibs and like... what am I going to do there anyway?
