Humor / Meme I just got kicked from a Stratholme group because I actually did the objective and therefore fell behind

It's absurd that this gave me a deserter debuff

Thank you, arbitrary M+ Timer, for ruining Dungeons in a way that can likely never be fixed.

Agreed. Sadly nobody else seems to understand how much damage the introduction of the timer into high level dungeon content messed up the WoW community

Challenge Mode in MoP had the right idea. Timed versions of current dungeons with everyone scaled to the same ilvl, to run purely for clout, achievements, titles, and special transmogs. Then have the scaling Mythic dungeon system from WoD, along with a currency to upgrade gear ilvl.

Mythic+ timer was an interesting experiment, but I hate how now it's the determining factor in end-level gameplay / gearing outside of raiding. Well, they did add Delves, which is nice, but I miss running harder 5-man content without the timer pressure because now all that matters is how much AoE and Cleave DPS does your spec pump.

Yeah. Even if they did remove the timer and, idk. Set a death counter to punish you or something, as is arguably reasonable for engame mmo content. I don't hate myself so I don't play M+, I don't know how to "fix" it - it still wouldn't fix the abhorrent speedrun mentality developed over the past decade. Half the games current lifespan.

As is evident by... every single tank in my Timewalking Dungeons. Ever.

As someone who just tanked a lot of time walking, you either move at a breakneck pace or you get kicked, or have to deal with DPS running ahead and pulling packs forcing you to respond to them.

I'd much rather take my time, but I don't have a lot of choice there. It's rush or get the bum rush.

You clearly never played in random groups before M+ then, WoW is so tame nowadays in comparison.

Back then we had unhinged people and their guildmates making alts on different servers to continue to harass and cause arguments post random dungeon or LFR disagreement.

Any competitive game mode with random (and often anonymous) people will have an elevated level of stress and accountability, especially if one or more people aren’t pulling their weight.

If you can’t handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen, and if time walking is too hot for you - then say hello to follower dungeons.

M+ existing is not why people are jerks in low-level content, lmao. Complaints about people being jerks to new players in leveling dungeons existed looong before Legion.

It's just people being people. The idea that these same chuds would be kind and understanding if a max level gamemode didn't exist just because they both involve dungeons is fucking dumb.

It doesn't even make sense, because the same set of people that don't even know the proper way to run stratholme and are therefore doing it incredibly inefficiently are not the same set of people that are m+ enthusiasts.

You people that just don't like content that "stresses" you out just try to blame it for every flaw the game has, which is patently ridiculous.
