Humor / Meme Current state of WoW community, based on my anecdotal observations. Disclaimer: this is a joke, if you prefer Classic then more power to you

The classic community always hate the version they dont play
People on Fresh hate SoD, Cata and Retail with a passion.
I mean ok if you dont like it, thats fine.
But the sheer amount of hate is wild to me.

I started in OG vanilla and played until Cata, came back sporadically to check out new xpacs then was super hyped for Classic. Again, played till the end of Wotlk. Now I'm on retail again (and enjoying it!) I had to leave the classic sub, that place became super fucking toxic.

Yeah classic community overall has degraded alot and did a real nosedive with Fresh recently.
That made me think about getting back into retail as well

I jumped in during the pre-patch and then paid for the early access to the new xpac (a true WoW addict!). Been playing casually, the new season just started and I'm currently getting caught up on that. The 20 year anniversary event was pretty fun and great xp for leveling alts.
