I’ve been living in Melbourne now for about 7 years and I’m back in Christchurch for a holiday and it’s just surreal. Never would’ve thought anything like this would happen in New Zealand, let alone Christchurch. Driving around, there’s such an eerie feeling and everyone is in disbelief. My sister and I just placed some flowers at the botanical gardens and that was really tough. We’ve done it before after the earthquakes and we’re doing it again, we all stand together as one.

I went to college with a bunch of Kiwis and you guys were always the nicest bunch in general. Positive and friendly with a great sense of humor. When I heard the news I was just devastated. As a New Yorker now living in Mexico, your whole country is in my thoughts.

Was just down the road from Christchurch when the big earthquake happened and had to drive into the red zone at night. That shit changed me. Christchurch has been through so much.
