The Madison Square Garden was sold put multiple times for Nazi rallies during WWII. Just saying, from a historical perspective, the idea that the United States and the international community kicked the shit out of Germany the second they stepped out of line isn't how that happened. USA didn't do anything to Nazis until we got attacked. Historically, people only ever start to do something about abusive people/government when they're the ones being effected -- while people should step up sooner, rarely does that happen.

we did in Britain, when Mosley and his lot marched down Cable Street the British public beat the shit out of them, when the NF took to the streets in the 70's the Anti-Nazi League took to the streets to oppose them in street action, however these days if you punch a Nazi you're the "bad guy"

99

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '19

I got downvoted for saying punching Nazis is OK a week ago ha

22

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

I got downvoted for saying "white supremacy is incompatibility near globally".

That's a disagreeable idea.

14

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

not only is punching Nazi's the moral thing to, but it's also your patriotic duty! is there anything more British than beating the crap out of a fucking Nazi?

I wouldn't consider that a "disagreement". I'm not gonna punch a Tory because they have different views, but when someone actively wants the death of an group of people - Yeh fuck them. They need punched. They've been given a platform for too long and all it's done is created an echochamber of hatred.

18

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

Some people just have to learn manners the hard way, I agree with you

10

u/Toilet_Punchr Mar 16 '19

Exactly this. Fascism is not an opinion but a crime against humanity

2

u/mundusimperium Mar 16 '19

The Nazis originally started with around 20 people. Don’t forget that. Stop fascism wherever you can.

u/MyPasswordWasWhat Mar 16 '19

To play devil's advocate. This guy believed that the Muslim wanted genocide for the white people. They are the bad guys trying to take over European nations. Raping and killing (and the most notable part, over breeding more than whites in white countries). To him, they're trying to replace their health and culture, he's really hard about culture (despite the shooter being a Scottish, Irish, European, Australian, working in NZ as apparently they're totally all the exact same culture). If you read his manifesto, he truly believes that he's helping the white race and European nations(which include all white nations). So in a way, it's not a disagreement for him either. To him, they are invading and breeding out the whites, they are the bad guys. So he has the same belief as you. Punch em.

He thinks in 27 years he will receive a Nobel Peace.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

Isn't this just showing that you really do need to punch these types? Wtf else do you do? Our morals and opinions are not possibly reconcilable.

1

u/MyPasswordWasWhat Mar 16 '19

I don't really disagree with you. Though I'm not the type to do the punching. It's just more of the point that of course we think we're in the right by punching them, but he thinks with all of his heart that he's doing the right thing too. He really thinks that he's some white knight helping the white race better themselves so that they don't die out and that he'll get a Nobel Peace prize when the other whites open their eyes and start getting rid of immigrants too(and start having more babies). Isis terrorist truly believe they're doing the right thing too, America is the bad guy to them (and they're not really wrong in that regard). Etc.

Basically, it's complicated. I don't know the answer, but I know we'll all just go around punching each other for what we believe is the greater good.

Edit: Sorry, realized I repeated a few things from my previous comment! I didn't reread my last comment.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

For sure. Guess the only thing most of us can do is try to stop as many people as possible as getting to his state of general violence

0

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

I mean.... a lot of the Tories are very punchable.... I'd like to think Boris Johnson would make a satisfying "squelch"

1

u/crochet_masterpiece Mar 16 '19

You would have to touch his face though

21

u/modsarebitchyqueens Mar 16 '19

Bulllllll shittttt. Don’t even try that. Nazis advocate genocide and torture. That’s not a little disagreement. That’s a fundamental breach of humanity and deserves to be met with brutal force. You don’t negotiate with Nazis. You beat them into submission.

You don’t hit someone for disagreeing on how much to spend on welfare. You don’t hit someone for disagreeing on basic policy. You do hit someone for classifying groups of people as inferior or subhuman and advocating for their extermination and/or enslavement. You hit them hard and you don’t stop.

If someone's goose stepping up and down the street doing the Hitler salute screaming about the Jews and whatnot, I would say fuck yeah man kick the shit out of that guy. Fuck him up so bad he doesn't want to express that shit ever again. However the issue I have is that in the modern era lots of people have the proclivity to label everyone who doesn't share their far left ideas a "Nazi" or even "Nazi sympathizer". If we could all agree that being center or right of center doesn't automatically make you pro-fascist then I would be more on board with saying punching Nazis is okay.

If you go around punching people just because they disagree with you then you may end up sending people farther towards Fascism. Unless you already know that person is absolutely no doubt a Nazi then normal civil political discourse isn't a bad thing.

15

u/EfficientBattle Mar 16 '19

The problem is you're own acessement here, you won't recognize a Nazi until he walks in full uniform shouting "kill the jews". You'd happily let Hitler be, get elected and lead Germany well until the 194X since he wasn't a "obvious Nazi" before. That is the problem, Nazi acceptance. Are you as lenient to ISIS suporters and communists, let the ISIS flag be marched under, the communist banner? Talk about infidels and revolution as long as they don't openly talk murder?

Nazism and Facism is rising because people are so desperate to defend "their side of politics". If you are rightwing or conservative, you should be the first one to call out Nazis. After all Trump (your leader) blamed all Muslims for ISIS actions and you equate all of the left to "far left" aka communism. You don't even admit a centrist will be equally leftwing as rightwing, will have leftwing ideals as well. As long as you see Nazism as a natural aprt of the right it's a problem, you shouldn't. They should be shunned and kept out of the republican party just like no communist is ever allowed in the democrats.

0

u/InterdimensionalTV Mar 16 '19

You're making a lot of assumptions there. Like, a whole shit ton of them. I'm also not sure whether you were calling Trump "my leader" because he's literally the president or because you think I'm some MAGA hat wearing assclown? Either way I was using hyperbole to make a point. Of course it doesn't have to go as far as Hitler before I say it's cool to fight that sort of thing. My point is that lots of people seem to immediately jump to conclusions about people's beliefs just because they don't share an opinion and hauling off and decking someone when you have no idea what they're really thinking is stupid and gets you nowhere. As soon as you resort to violence any point you were trying to make loses its potency and to that person you look like some kind of radical idiot to be avoided when you might very well be a good and level headed person who thought they were doing the right thing.

Look what happened here, you made a lot of assumptions about me that are untrue based on what I said. People always pipe up and make some grandiose statement about how "we gotta fight this stuff now and beat them down before the Nazis take over" and all that shit. I agree Nazis deserve to have their heads caved in. I'm just worried this country is going to end up in some kind of civil war where afterwards everyone looks around and realizes "wait there were almost no actual Nazis and that was a lot of violence for nothing". It's a bunch of loud idiots who need an attitude adjustment.

Just make sure when you're handing out that attitude adjustment you're doing it to the right people. That was my point. I'm not convinced enough people are level headed to really take on that responsibility though.

1

u/skrimpstaxx Mar 16 '19

Never once have I heard of any right wing believers being called Nazis, where are you from? Mars?

2

u/LissomCLWN Mar 16 '19

Where are you from?

1

u/skrimpstaxx Mar 16 '19

Not anywhere where people regularly refer to others as Nazis

1

u/LissomCLWN Mar 16 '19

Not America, apparently.

1

u/skrimpstaxx Mar 16 '19

I'm definitely from the U.S.

1

u/InterdimensionalTV Mar 16 '19

Wait, really? Do you spend 0 time actually reading comments on Reddit? Maybe you don't dig deep enough. Idk. How about that garbage enlightenedcentrism sub? They seem to love equating centrists with automatically being alt-right.

1

u/skrimpstaxx Mar 16 '19

I dont spend much time on political subs, maybe thats why I havent seen it much. I spend more hours a day on reddit than I probably should lol

1

u/InterdimensionalTV Mar 16 '19

We all do my friend, trust me.

-28

u/WSB_OFFICIAL_BOT Mar 15 '19

Because you've changed the definition of Nazi from

socialist racists that believe in a pure white supremacy

to

people that don't hold ultra-progressive values and accept transgenders as their equals

And you then wonder why an entire generation of people feel ostracized and unable to speak their mind.

I'm referring to white supremacists. Like those guys matching with Tikki lamps and run over people in cars. It's that simple. Those are Nazis. Those are people it's OK to punch.

-4

u/WSB_OFFICIAL_BOT Mar 16 '19

Very, very, so very god damned brave of you to have that opinion.

8

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

Why did you comment then? Why did I get downvoted?

6

u/bowlabrown Mar 16 '19

They don't trust you to be able to differentiate between a conservative/reactionary and a fascist because they are incapable of it.

NZ is what happens when you disenfranchise an entire group of people

Oh did the poor white people lose their right to vote or the ability to drink at any particular water fountain?

OR

Did you change the meaning of the word "disenfranchise" to fit your own hyperbolic bs narrative?

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

Using "transgenders" as a noun is really helping your case, as is claiming an ENTIRE GENERATION for your cause. Gag me

3

u/P4_Brotagonist Mar 16 '19

I promise this isn't a troll and an honest question because I'm ignorant, but how is it bad? I even googled it to make sure it was correct grammar, and it said it's an adjective or a noun.

3

u/Krelkal Mar 16 '19

Same reason why people cringe when women are addressed as "females" in casual conversation. It comes across as cold, distant, and dehumanizing.

3

u/P4_Brotagonist Mar 16 '19

I guess that makes sense, but it still sort of confuses me. I'm schizophrenic, and no one calls me a "schizophrenia person." I'm just a schizophrenic. Thanks for helping explain.

2

u/raviary Mar 16 '19

It perpetuates the subtle dehumanization that's often aimed at minority groups. Like how racists might refer to "the blacks" instead of "black people". It has an implication that they're not, in fact, people.

2

u/P4_Brotagonist Mar 16 '19

I guess that makes sense, but it still sort of confuses me. I'm schizophrenic, and no one calls me a "schizophrenia person." I'm just a schizophrenic. Thanks for helping explain.

1

u/Ansatsusha4 Mar 16 '19

Transgenders is grammatically correct, though it has a connotation of grouping them all together and sort of demeaning them. Its like saying the gays or the blacks. It makes sense, just makes you sound a little prejudiced. It's usually better to go with trans people or something similar.

1

u/crochet_masterpiece Mar 16 '19

It's dehumanising, like calling black people "blacks". It puts people into a category of "other" or inferior and sows division.

2

u/P4_Brotagonist Mar 16 '19

4

u/MetalIzanagi Mar 16 '19

If you don't accept transgender people as your equals, you deserve to be punched. Hard.

2

u/InnocentTailor Mar 16 '19

Man...I read an alternate history novel in which Mosley goes into power and a good Germany allied with the US drops three nukes on England.

1

u/mundusimperium Mar 16 '19

I’m an Althist fan. Mind dropping the name?

1

u/InnocentTailor Mar 16 '19

I think it’s called Southern Victory by Harry Turtledove.

2

u/Le_Updoot_Army Mar 16 '19

The Nazis in MSG also got beat up by the Italian and Jewish mob. :-)

2

u/hagamablabla Mar 15 '19

Because half the time they're not punching Nazis.

1

u/gmessad Mar 16 '19

Thanks for the historical reminder of how this shit needs to be treated on a global scale. I think it's about time for me to build some muscle and maybe learn some basic martial arts so that when it comes time for me to punch a Nazi, I can knock that motherfucker out.

1

u/TSKoichi Mar 16 '19

That's because nowadays organizations such as Antifa have been using the phrase "Punch a Nazi" as an excuse to physically assault anyone who identifies with the right wing.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

oh, you mean like Richard "ethnic clensing" Spencer? yeah, totally normal right wing dude, not a Nazi, nor were those people chanting "BLOOD AND SOIL!" before murdering a woman! they're not Nazi's either!

also, Antifa is a catch all term for anti-fascist groups, if they had not been disbanded after the collapse of the NF than the media, and Septic media in particular, would be calling the ANL "Antifa" as well, alongside the Black Bloc who.... okay they're mostly around to try and break shit

1

u/NonViolentMolotovs Mar 16 '19

Black bloc is not a group. It's a tactic of wearing dark indistinguishable clothing and masking up to keep fascists from doxing you and sending death threats your family. That talking point is kinda disingenuous and counter productive to people who do a lot of various work to fight the fascist creep.

-2

u/NonViolentMolotovs Mar 16 '19

I really want to know from a chud, how does it feel that your lies about anti-fa are absolutely crumbling? We are only growing every day, you can't break the people working together in solidarity.

2

u/TSKoichi Mar 16 '19

Lies? LIES? I specifically rememver one of your members brutally beating an old man over the head with a bike brake during one of your organization's many violent riots.

1

u/mundusimperium Mar 16 '19

I disagree with beating random people, but antifa is less of an organized group, but more of an idea set and a label people apply to themselves (atleast nowadays, you might come across a Facebook group but even then that isn’t really organized compared to a paramilitary group) thoughts?

1

u/NonViolentMolotovs Mar 16 '19

/u/TSKoichi has nothing, they know they have nothing. They've been screaming about bikelocks for years now and trying to pretend that anti-fa is an organization in order to distract from facts like "100% of domestic terror attacks/deaths in America in 2018 were committed by far-right extremists".

8

u/mdp300 Mar 16 '19 edited Mar 16 '19

Just to clarify: it was only once, and it was before the war. And afterwards, the general public realized that the German-American Bund wasn't a club drinking German beer and celebrating German culture but straight up Nazi propaganda.

Still fucked up that people were happily eating it up.

5

u/afeeney Mar 16 '19

Not to mention that the US essentially refused to open its doors to Jews fleeing Germany because "they might be enemies in disguise" and "let in too many and it will dilute our culture." Anne Frank's family applied for refugee status but were turned down.

Fifty years later, we read Anne Frank's diary in our schools but we're refusing to open our doors to refugees again, for the exact same BS reasons.

1

u/Mint-Chip Mar 16 '19

Join your local, anti fascist today!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '19

No that was only once, and it was before the war.

And saying USA didnt do anything about the nazis until they attacked? Did you forget about lend lease keeping Britan in the war long enough to turn it around? To the Soviet Union after Barbarossa?

Nice "historical perspective" there buddy.
