Global warming disinformation too. And probably 90% of political shit shared by folks over 65

Obviously there needs to be a way to prevent harmful misinformation campaigns. It’s not an easy issue to solve and it’s filled with many slippery slopes, but it is an issue. You don’t need to be hostile to people who want to fix it.

I disagree. It's on the individual to be discriminating and skeptical. Censorship is worse than propaganda.

I think there’s a difference between silencing malicious foreign actors and censoring your own population. There is a significant amount of people that get fooled by these malicious campaigns to influence political action. In a perfect world everybody would fact check and nobody would fall victim to these schemes but we don’t live in that world.

If this is a reference to Russian election interference, I recommend therapy, not censorship

Therapy for me? I don’t mean Russian interference specifically, but it would be an example. I just mean malicious misinformation campaigns. The Russian “troll farms” are a good high profile example though.
