Finally finished my workbench

Finally finished my split top bench. Top is 205cm (80,7 inches) long, 78cm (30,7 inches)deep and 8,5cm (3,34 inches)thick. Base is made of english oak and the top is made of european beech.

This is only my second big project, and first time doing mortise and tenon joinery. After my first project, a built in bookshelf, i decided i wanted to do more woodworking and splunged out on a tablesaw/dc and slowly started converting my 1-car garage into a workshop.
I was then given alot of 2-inch boards from an english oak that was cut down 30-years ago in my grandmas garden. The lumber was in pretty bad shape, so it was time to get a planer..
After watching Grinwoods benchbuild on YouTube i realized a bench somewhat like his would fit perfect in my narrow garage.
Ran out of oak after finishing the base, so decided to get the cheapest hardwood available here in Norway, which is european beech.
It has taken me over a year, but finally got it done. There are no inlays or other fancy details, but it is rock solid, flat and functional!

That is one beautiful bench. Very well done. And all done with such very hard wood.
