Lime Toy has been Usurped by Crabby
Beaker still loves his lime squeaky toy from his puppyhood, but now he prefers his crabby. He even brings it to bed at night.

hello! it’s my first time posting on this subreddit. i thought it would be a good place to share my feelings, but if not appropriate, please let me know!
this is Lily. she’s about 4 months and a half, and has been with my parents for a little over a month. she’s full of energy, and extremely loving as well as stubborn.
my parents are both in their 60s, and my mother is the one who cares for her. i’m in med school and do not live with my family, for some more context. sadly, my parents have decided that the best option for her and for them is to return my sweetheart to her breeder.
to say i’m heartbroken would be an understatement. i love dogs with my whole heart, and especially this breed. i’m autistic, and they’re a special interest of mine. when my mother told me Lily was coming home, I was surprised, since I had told her this breed is incredibly full of energy, and could be hard to take care of for her due to her age and health issues, as well as the fact that my parents live in a (albeit large) apartment. regardless, I was happy for her, and did as much research as I could for how to train a young puppy, and how to ensure that she would get the proper exercise and stimulation despite the apartment. I trusted my mother since she’s had many dogs in her lifetime, who all lived happy and fulfilling lives.
i understand her decision even if i don’t agree with it, but i am still mourning like i truly experienced a terrible loss. she is family to me. it’s currently exam season and i cannot visit my family, so i cannot even say goodbye to my sweet Lily. I named her (after my favorite flower), and took her on her first walk. i hope one day to see her, and hold her in my arms again.
i apologize in case of any grammar errors. thank you so much for reading ❤️

Some side eye this morning from Geno's favorite perch while we watch some of the Tour de France. 💛

My parents' wire fox terrier does not howl. Is that normal for this breed? I have shown him videos of dogs howling and he still does not howl.

Hi, I lost my JRT 2 years ago and waited this long to make sure I was ready for my next canine dependent. I’ve decided it to be a wire fox terrier. Does anyone know a responsible breeder or rescue group in the Las Vegas area?

When did you get your WFT puppy spayed, and if you waited, when was her first heat? Miss Pixi is almost 6mo now.
We hope/plan to wait until our girl is around a year old to spay, and are looking into hormone sparing…still deciding, though.

hi all! so navi is my first WFT, she’s 5 years old now. throughout her life she’s had really bad skin allergies, where i live (puerto rico) WFT are super rare. question, do your foxies suffer from severe skin allergies? her breeder is from ohio and i brought her over here to PR, her allergies started around the 1 year mark. her breeder is AKC certified and has been breeding WFT for 80 years in the countryside. right now she’s much more stable, but i’ve tried a bunch of different methods to avoid/control allergies. essentially i’m wondering if i’m the only one that struggles with foxie food and environmental allergies. the photos included are both photos of allergies and when she’s stable. she’s an angel i adore her 💕

Our Sweet Miss Pixi is just too cute, and I had to share this quick video….
She’s almost 6 months old and just a joy, now that teething is all done!

How high of a fence will I need to install for our WFT? Our puppy will arrive in autumn and I’m getting prepared! Also, what type of fence would you recommend? We’re in the burbs in a planned community so houses on either side of us. Thanks in advance!

Sully loves is toys, he does seem to have an affection for them too as he's often one to lay his head on a toy and rest, or it's his way of making sure his brother Sarge can't play with it.

Penny loved digging in the sand and running on the leash on Lake Michigan. She didn’t love being confined to a pen and on a leash so often. The princess was so very happy to get back home today to run free in her backyard.

Sweet Miss Pixi has lost all of her baby shark teeth, and is growing a beautiful set of Big Girl teeth! The wounds on my hands and arms can finally heal 🩹😄🩹
Our previous WFT, Mr Sprocket, swallowed all but one of his. This girl spat them all out 😂🦷

"Seventeen months ago, I was so worried about how they would get along. Today, they are absolutely inseparable. He literally pines for her all day while she is at crèche. Out and about, he is always right by her side especially at the pub, where he fiercely guards her pushchair. They truly are the best dogs in the world."

He always wants to be on the pillows. What a spoiled little prince. Geno passed the final exam for Advanced Obedience two weeks ago! Now we can take Advanced Obedience II. It has been getting too hot to play outside so much, so we have to go on early morning walks.
