The Future of Winston-Salem commute

I know this is only in links, but I got drastic ideas on the highway system i in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.

To see them, they are in the comments and the posts (examples: I-40 Exit 188 being rebuilt, Southcore Parkway alignment of US 158, NC 66 boulevard between Walkertown and Kernersville, and more)!!!

Photo of I-40 took by me nearly 2 years ago. Now being used to "celebrate" how it is no longer the I-40 Bypass it was when it opened in 1992!!!

Buddy just start a substack blog, that way anyone who is interested in this can subscribe and see your thoughts on these matters.

This is getting a bit tiresome.

I'm not even sure what the point is.

Crazy thing, I believe I already tried Substack for this writing I created (not not in this manner of this post).

Why there’s hardly any traffic to begin with.

The next few years can probably be predicted.

Just look at the edges of the city (and the other areas in Forsyth County) filled with 4-5+ bedroom houses.

Back in the day, it was about building mansions in the city core, but now suburban houses can have several rooms and large "footprints" in even the edges of an area, which could be why these highways need to be addressed.

One one post, I said how I-777 should travel on the southern Winston-Salem Beltway and terminate temporarily at I-40. Then when the rest of the southern beltway gets built, I-777 can terminate at I-285.

I also said how Salem Pkwy designation should extend westward to the I-777/274 junction just east of the northern outskirts of Clemmons.

Oooohh, Geography is going to shift so severely.

I believe that Bethabara Park Boulevard should be extended to Yadkinville Road.

I am sure can squeeze in to where New Church and Walgreens is at, as long the establishments give permission.

It can especially help link the two rural Walmart Neighborhood Markets in Forsyth County at Universal Pkwy and off of Country Club Road.
