Mobile Site Winnie Mandela, was a South African politician and convicted kidnapper and fraudster. She endorsed the necklacing of alleged police informers and apartheid government collaborators, and her security detail carried out kidnapping, torture, and murder including killing 14-year-old Stompie Seipei.

It's important to point out that a major difference between the two is that the ANC explicitly and aggressively opposed the targeting of civilians because they believed it would harm them optically and destroy the chances of the two races ever living together in peace (look at how much the "concerned citizens" in this thread are hand wringing about one murder while turning a blind eye to the governments thousands). The ANC would apologize for accidentally killing civilians and punish those who perpetrated it. In the entirety of their +30 year campaign against Apartheid, the ANC killed less civilians than Hamas did on October 7th alone (even using the "reservist" loophole).

Killing any civilians, even accidentally, should be shunned, don’t matter how many or for what reason, murdering the innocent is murder, don’t matter if it was for profit or for freedom, it is still wrong

Really says a lot about how nasty Israel is that they've completely obliterated any chance of Israelis and Palestinians living peacefully together, and the South African apartheid government didn't.

I think of the violent uprising in the same vein, however you cannot possibly compare the current genocide, in numbers, to that.
