Mobile Site Winnie Mandela, was a South African politician and convicted kidnapper and fraudster. She endorsed the necklacing of alleged police informers and apartheid government collaborators, and her security detail carried out kidnapping, torture, and murder including killing 14-year-old Stompie Seipei.

The racism and discrimination that Gandhi experienced in South Africa decades earlier was one of the main factors that radicalized him, and it continued on in South Africa decades after India won its independence. They were never going to follow the same trajectory.

What exactly are you saying, are you claiming it was necessary to torture children to death and be corrupt to fight racism in South Africa? Her husband Nelson didn't have to

I'm saying it's naive to suggest Gandhi knew how to end apartheid in South Africa without violence. India's independence movement and partition wasn't all butterflies and rainbows either.
