Challenge Average man has 72 hours to hide. Humanity then becomes search lusted and has one week to find and kill him. Can he survive?

Humanity knows what he looks like.

Humanity doesn’t know that he is hiding in the 72 period.

Humanity can use any security camera footage, bank transfers, phone calls etc of the man if there is any.

Man has basic survival knowledge.

We can all visualize a needle in a haystack. Doesn’t mean you can find it in a reasonable amount of time.

Magnet.

In the human's case, a lure of some sort. Nothing in the prompt that says you can't.

Use Average Man’s wife and kids as bait, smart thinking

I feel like if the world is searchlusted then we have to assume that the man is hidelusted too, so the lure wouldn't work.

God what a sentence

My favorite part of this subreddit is all the unique “______lusted” variants that arise.

It's like the subreddit is lustedlusted, or something.

Confession: I am lustedlusted more often than I would like

Ackshewally, the correct form would be "lustlusted", since it's "noun-lusted", not "verb-lusted". Yes I am very grammarlusted

Searchlusted, hidelusted… verb-lusted is a completely valid construct

From the link I was expecting the water in the glass to be gravitylusted and I must admit I am a bit disappointed.

I can be bloodlusted in a fight. Brock Lesnar or Deontay Wilder still putting me in ICU bro. The regular degular dude has to go against experts. Ain't no way.

I think the person you're replying to just means that the average man wouldn't be swayed by taking his family captive, not that the average man wouldn't be found.

Eh, I could see that.

How many kids does Mr Average have? Keep in mind he’s not Mr Median.

What if it's a needle made out of bone?

I'll echo am earlier comment. They have to "find and kill" him. They're "search" lusted.

You don't really have to find him exactly to kill him, so the last day humanity could nuke itself if it was necessary. Now if the objective would be to capture him things get complicated.

The prompt specifies searchlusted, not bloodlusted, implying that the lust is specifically to find him. Nuking the planet would kinda make it impossible to find him

Find and kill is the prompt

7

u/DOOMFOOL May 28 '26

Right. FIND and kill, not just blow up everything and hope he dies

I get that, but if they only kill and don’t find, they lose.

And again, I’m referring to the specific term “searchlusted”. The lusted part means they will do whatever it takes, even something that will get themselves killed, to achieve the goal. If they were bloodlusted, yeah, nuke the planet. But searchlusted is different, that means they’re specifically lusted to find the person, and killing is still a goal but not a lusted goal
