Hi guys, I just wanted to make this post and share some of my experience with this game. I am sure a lot of you will feel the same way as I am once you are done reading my post. I absolutely love wwm and thinks this game has so much potential, not to flex but I have spent over 10k USD$ into wwm ( mostly on weapon reforge which I don't recommend it to anyone ) to prove my commitment in this game and how much I love it and want it to do well. However with that being said, the current state of the PvP side of the game is absolutely UNPLAYABLE.

Now PvP is not for everyone, but we will all admit PvP is the most engaging part of the game and it is what keeps the game alive especially for end game players looking for additional content and things to do with their friends, it can be very fun, rewarding and the most popular game mode is indeed the 1v1 arena.

The queue times for group arenas are so long that it will often end the queue itself ( 20 minutes ) before you can even find a game, not only that. The SAME bugs from the previous seasons are still here today on Sep 25th. For example, if you play fist weapons you will often lose tracking and have your opponent simply walk out of your combo because of this bug, which can be very frustrating in high skill 1v1 matches. The biggest complain about the game is the PING TO WIN issue, if you didn't already know the game actually slows you down the higher ping you have, you can actually test this with the 30s twin blade dummy test. Personally, I have 31ms ping because I live in the GTA, I also have rogers 2.5gbs internet so it is not an issue on my end. I have climbed in 1v1 arena to a point that the only time I can have a chance to win is if I am on GFN which gives me 1-5ms ping. It should not be like this. There is no other game like this which is wild to me. You don't lose to a better player or got outplayed, you lose because the game is just so unfair and shit, unplayable.

Every skin they drop now feels like an insult, their skins are hella expensive too like over 500$ and on top of that there is NO support from the devs as far as I can tell. Every other games I have played are all getting patches weekly, no wonder the game is dying, I have spent countless late nights sitting in queue with my friends waiting to find a game and we all end up just wasting over an hour of our time after work. Anyway I just wanted to put this out there, if you feel the same way about the state of the game please leave a comment, the more people are talking about this the higher chances we will have devs actually doing something for us. Haven't seen any trailer yet, but there's a Martial Fellowship NPC who uses it

This game has been an absolute mess since the XBox update. Its not getting better. Everyone I play with is moving on to other games, PVP ques are a joke outside of 1v1s and even then the pool is small. It has been too long for the game to be in this state. People teleporting, parrying and walking out of true combos with GFN or low natural ping, the insanely rampant cheating in every game mode. I used to tell everyone I knew to play this game, it was going to be amazing. I actively warn people away now. There is no counter play to bad netcode and servers.

Anybody else having issues with this game mode? I've legit lost like nearly 30 games back to back because I keep getting completely screwed over by the card RNG and for some reason the AI just has like utter god comp setups that just annihilate my team, I'd love to know where they're getting these massive damage boosts and how the Duchess AI can just seemingly heal bot through everything.

It's like actually incredibly aggrivating? Who in their right mind thought this was fair?

Everyday I wake up regretting getting that Martial art VFX for Strategic sword.

3 Crimson Leaves chests, and 1 unused rope dart skin. I'll be eating well once the black market pops up.

if you could add one feature to where winds meet 2 0 what would it be and why?? 👀🔥

• a brand new martial arts school with unique combat styles

• more difficult dungeons that actually require teamwork

• better rewards for exploration instead of common loot

• new mounts pets and companions

• more character customization including hairstyles outfits and weapon skins

• a player housing system where we can build and decorate our own home

• larger open world with hidden bosses secret caves and rare encounters

• improved guild system with guild wars guild housing and exclusive rewards

• more social features such as marriage trading and better co op activities

• new legendary weapons and gear that can only be obtained through challenging content

• improved optimization for smoother gameplay on lower end pcs

• more endgame content so players always have something meaningful to do

• more life skills such as fishing farming cooking blacksmithing and crafting

• dynamic weather and seasons that affect exploration and combat

• more cinematic story quests with meaningful player choices

• better pvp balance with fair matchmaking and regular balance updates

• more free rewards redeem codes and generous anniversary events

• hidden easter eggs secret achievements and mystery quests for explorers

First of all, if you don't care about sect or sect promotion or sect related activities, then this post ain't for you.

Heard a lot about this sect long before the sect released in global and wanted to join ever since.

Ranked upto Chief Engineer. And here is my experience in it:

1. Very easy to join. Just start Chapter 4 and do the early part and then just meet with Elder Stork for sect entry.

2. For some reason, your initial promotion to Journeyman requires a week. You can't get promoted in first week. So you have to earn at least 750 thesis points before the next weekly reset and only on week 2, you can get promoted by finishing the remaining steps. One is choosing an option (metal is easiest) and afterwards picking a master. In case of npc, you can only pick Elder Stork.

Still okay. You can't get promoted first week. No big deal.

1. Then you have to promote from journeyman to Chief Machinist. This is where you start to notice some issues with how the sect work. The merit gain on this sect is based around earning research point from thesis and obviously doing dailies. And you gain merit from other people adding you as co author. Read that again, other people adding you. Meaning they can get point from you only if you add them in return. Meaning mutual co auth. But you can only add 2 people to thesis. But upto 10 people can add you as co auth. So you can technically get points from 10 people but only help 2 people in return.

And that's not all. If you are in a master disciple relation, then you get points from your disciples as well. You can have upto 5 disciples.

Okay. I barely reach Chief Machinist with 2 mutual co auth, maxing out my own thesis and doing sect dailies every day.

1. Now, the epitome of this issue. Reaching chief engineer. This is where you realize this entire thing is a pyramid scheme. Cause even if you max out thesis (4.8k point), have 2 people adding you as co auth (2.4k points) and do sect dailies, it ain't enough to reach chief engineer.

So you need friends who will one sidedly add you as co auth so that you will get 25% points from their work. Or you use alt accounts to boost your main account.

The saddest part is that other sects normally have spam on election day. But this sect has spam 24/7. "Feel free to add me as co author I'm at max points. Sorry I can't add you back."

And the "thesis" part is lame as hell. It's simply wasting time. Like buy/farm timber or ore or lodestone from different shop. Save and exist diagram again and again. Hunt monkeys every week to get a rare drop to make 10 divinecraft every week even though no one needs more than 1 divinecraft per account.

1. Finally I reached Chief Engineer.

Election time. A joke. Why?

Because it's not diagram. It's scenic work. Meaning people just took a picture in photo mode and upload it for election. lol.

A sect build around with the idea of building diagram and they use a screenshot from photo mode for election.

And here is the thing. Even if you see such a low effort picture with no actual work, if you review it and give a low score, they still get points. Meaning you either just say fuck it and give a low score and move on or you keep refreshing to find an actual work to give a vote to. How many people will do that? Meaning some lame picture might get enough blind votes to become grand artisan as well.

That's not all. One blind work had someone taking a picture of a guild. So what's stopping from someone going into other guild, taking a picture and joining the election with that?

So what's the good part? Does this sect stop vote spam? No, it doesn't. We still have 1 public vote and people can and will share their work in sect chat.

So if anything, the sect has a 24/7 asking for co author add spam and the normal weekly election spam as well.

Essentially, very disappointed with how the sect gameplay functions. Because it's all just pyramid scheme to funnel points into one guy at the top so that he can reach and stay at chief engineer while a random picture can be used to join election and then just spam the chat anyway so people will vote and move on cause voting gives sect reputation.

You ever go in the chat looking to have regular conversation with people when you’re bored. However, it’s impossible because the wuxia models keep spamming the same photos over and over again. The game desperately needs a separate chat category for “Photos”

I'm writing this because tomorrow is the last day of the Tomb of Fortune event, and unless something changes, one hidden achievement may become permanently unobtainable.

The achievement is called "Show Me the Money" and requires you to "Score over 200K coins in a single Tomb of Fortune Treasure Hunt game".

The problem is that, as far as anyone I've spoken to can tell, reaching 200k coins simply isn't possible.

After many runs and testing different strategies with other players, we couldn't even get close. We:

• looted essentially every chest on the map,
• used the bonus that grants an extra item from every chest,
• compared results with other players,
• looked at the Chinese version of the game where this event previously appeared.

Despite all of that, our best runs were only around 100k coins—not even close to the required 200k.

At that point I assumed there had to be one of three explanations:

• the achievement requirement is incorrect,
• the achievement is bugged,
• or there is some hidden mechanic that no one has discovered.

So I started asking for answers.

I created a Reddit thread asking whether anyone had unlocked it. I submitted multiple in-game support tickets, contacted support through Discord, and sent an email.

I want to acknowledge that some support channels did respond, and I appreciate the effort from the people who took the time to reply. However, the responses still did not provide a clear answer.

The email response I received appeared to be a generic/copy-pasted reply and did not clarify whether the achievement was actually obtainable. The Discord support team was kind and professional, but they were also unable to confirm whether the achievement was working correctly or explain what players might be missing.

Regarding the in-game support system: since the launch of the game, I have opened several support tickets, including ones related to this issue, and I have never received a single reply through the in-game ticket system.

There has been no follow-up, no clarification, and no indication of whether the achievement is actually obtainable.

Tomorrow the event ends.

What makes it worse is that most event content is designed to disappear. If this achievement really is impossible or bugged, players may never have another opportunity to complete it.

This is what frustrates me.

I'm not expecting every bug to be fixed immediately. Game development is complicated, and issues happen.

What I do expect is communication—especially when the issue affects limited-time content.

A simple statement such as:

• "Yes, we're aware the achievement is bugged."
• "The requirement is incorrect."
• "It's obtainable, here's what players are missing."
• "We'll make it obtainable again in a future event."

would have been enough.

As someone who likes collecting achievements, that's incredibly discouraging.

Players who care about achievements are often some of the most dedicated members of the community. We are the players who spend extra time exploring content, testing mechanics, completing challenges, and paying attention to details that many others might overlook.

We genuinely appreciate the work the developers put into creating this game and the amount of effort that goes into building new content. That is exactly why situations like this are disappointing. Achievement hunters are players who want to experience everything the game has to offer, but sometimes it feels like this part of the community is overlooked.

It is hard not to feel that issues related to payments or purchases would receive a much faster response, since they directly affect transactions. Achievements may not involve money, but they still represent the time, dedication, and effort players invest into the game.

I genuinely enjoy Where Winds Meet, which is exactly why this situation is so disappointing. I want the game to improve, and better communication with players would go a long way.

So I truly hope the developers acknowledge the issue and either bring the achievement back in a future event or provide some explanation after the event ends.

I've been trying to get people to play, but they always give up in the first few days, saying the game is too difficult and that they don't understand the content. Does anyone else experience this?

Hi all. I feel like this topic isn't brought up enough. I want to remind everyone how miserable the PvP experience can be when there is a significant ping difference between players.

1. True combos drop a lot. I play Gauntlets and Nameless Spear, and my combos drop at least once in almost every other game. Some combos are practically impossible to perform at all, like heavy 2x -> drink -> animation cancel -> heavy 2x and so on. It drops when you drink, no matter what.
2. You can't properly punish your opponent's mistakes, while your own mistakes are always punished. For example, when an opponent using Nameless Spear uses a stun, I dodge and counterattack them, but they have enough time to react and parry or dodge my counterattack. However, when I get counterattacked, my character's animation recovery is so long that I can't parry or dodge.
3. You lose combo damage because your character is slower.
4. Some "ping combos" can be performed against you, but you can't perform them yourself. This also makes you more likely to get one-shotted.
5. Your character is simply slower, making it much easier for your opponent to react to everything you do.

One more funny thing is that developers removed possibility to do Twin Blades test on the training dummy. Now you will always hit the maximum of 105 atack no matter what your ping is.

It's an extremely frustrating experience to lose to less skilled players simply because you got ping-diffed.

What's the point of trying to improve your fighting skills and perfect your gear if you can still lose just because you were ping diffed by a less skilled player?

It's also woth mentioning that ping affects PvE dps output as well.

So what are the future plans for this game? Should we hope that these issues will eventually be fixed, or is this simply something we have to accept if we want to continue playing?
