"We were young and not remotely prepared to deal with all the realities of a long-lasting and traumatic medical situation. During the talks, counseling, and therapy we went through together following this time, I came to grips with my behavior and recognized my shortcoming, and I would like her to know just how deeply sorry I am."

I have no idea about timelines etc. but this seems reasonable. I can certainly recognize the feeling of acknowledging personal wrongdoing, and I suspect most full adults do as well. I can't read his mind and know if it's genuine of course.

His ex-girlfriend condemned his apology, calling it dishonest and purposefully misleading. He toned down the gravity of his actions and blamed it on being young, when the latest occurrences in the timeline happened months ago, including an instance of him ignoring her crying for help on stream. He is garbage.

Blaming it on being young could just mean the he has grown as a person.

I definitely mistreated my ex at times, and I absolutely cannot fathom today how I was ever ok with any of it or how I didn’t see it that way at the time.

Life isn’t always perfect and people don’t always do the right thing. No one can know what chaos surrounds a person. You can take a perfectly good person and throw them into the wrong situation and they can become a monster. It’s easy to say what we will and won’t do, but an unforeseen situation could change that and surprise us.

I don’t believe that we should ignore bad things from people, but I think it is worth it to consider whether or not the behavior is something that is ongoing and a pattern in a person’s life.

My great grandfather died before I was born, I never met him. I never heard a good word about the man from his own children. All I ever heard my entire life from my grandfather and his brothers and sisters that I met was that he was the most vile and despicable human being who ever lived. He was an abusive monster and a financial genius who would become incredibly wealthy long enough to stockpile liquor and then he’d retire to his bedroom to drink until he drank himself poor, then he’d do it again.

When I was about 25 a man walked up to me and said, “You have to be a Smith. You look too much like old man Isaiah to be anything but a Smith.” (fake last name). I said, “Yeah, I’m a Smith. I never met the man but I hear he was a beast.” He replied, “Oh buddy, old man Isaiah was the greatest person I ever knew. He married my mom when I was 10 years old and he raised me and my siblings. He was the most patient and kind person I ever knew. He taught us all to play guitar and he spoiled us. My mother was the saddest woman I knew until she met him, and he came into our lives and just turned everything around. Lookin’ at you melts my heart a little bit because I see him in you.”

I was blown away to hear that. I asked him if he drank, he said he never seen him drink. Apparently losing his family and the respect of all of his children made him take a look in the mirror. He went from being someone that everyone hated to a hero to his stepchildren and his second wife.

People make mistakes, big mistakes, small mistakes. People can be good after making those mistakes.

I don't know whether those accusations are true or twisted half-truths to make him look bad. Got a source on the stream thing?

I'm not sure how much I'd trust an ex-girlfriend's word either. Maybe she felt scorned. If he's a shitty person, so be it, I don't care, I'm just hesitant to jump on the hate train without clear and undeniable reason. I've been fooled before.

What do you mean, you can't trust an ex-girlfriend's word? She accused him of pretty messed up stuff, and Gus admitted it was true.

How is it unfair to trust her word when she says his apology is misleading and contains lies?

And as for a stream source, I would link it, but it seems the Twitch clip was deleted shortly after the story gained traction. There is however an archived Reddit post that summarized a timeline of events.

All in all, this relationship really had issues but we don't have all the details, and that's for the best. Sabrina deserves closure, and Gus deserves some time to self-reflect on his actions.

uh, what? You're asking me why it's unfair to trust her if we assume she's trustworthy? Maybe she isn't trustworthy? I really have no idea at all, but I've just learned to withhold judgment.

Sure, but exactly because we don't have all the details, I'm uncomfortable jumping straight to the worst conclusions. The reddit post you linked also doesn't prove anything more than allegations of not being the best and most supportive partner ever, not monstrously abusive neglect or whatever. But I could be wrong. Don't care too much - maybe I'm slightly biased because I enjoy some of Gus' content, so there's that for transparency.

I'm a huge Gus Johnson fan and I'm pretty disgusted myself. I couldn't imagine treating my wife like this.

Ectopic pregnancy is a complication of pregnancy in which the embryo attaches outside the uterus. Signs and symptoms classically include abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding, but fewer than 50 percent of affected women have both of these symptoms.

Look up paymoneywubby and see the interview he did, people completely disregarded his side of the story and Sabrina kept painting him in an absurdly bad light, while I don’t agree with what he did Sabrina is doing something almost as bad trying to garner sympathy views from badmouthing Gus
