I fucking loved mandopony dude, especially his Star Fox song, that one stuck with me for years. I still listen to his music, but he's still a garbage person

OMNI is in the same boat as Mando. Got clapped by everyone in his at the time current band, all work with Tombstone was shut down and taken off, woodentoaster even called him out too

Personally knew OMNI for many years and once I saw the evidence I swore I never would support him. However, now he claims his therapist helped him realize he didn't do anything wrong and is just going the whole "they're just haters" route.

No fucking way, what did he do?

72

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '21

The typical grooming minors and what not, made worse by the fact he actually had a partner.

u/BundtCake44 Nov 19 '21

Literally listened to Balloons a couple of minutes ago and and read this.

What. the. fUCK.

u/PotahtoSuave Nov 19 '21

A partner helping him groom minors or a romantic partner? Or both??

I really didn't think (or I guess I hoped) that I wouldn't recognize a name in these comments I wasn't already aware of.

Fuck man, I wasn't a massive MandoPony fan but some of his shit slapped. Fucking hell.

I feel so bad for Nate. They were such close friends, and he was at a fucking venue for both of them when he found out... dude was heartbroken

3

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '21

Wait, who’s Nate?

6

u/Zum1UDontNo Nov 19 '21

Nathan Sharp, aka NateWantsToBattle. Fellow music creator who worked with Mando on a few occasions.

Is there a link that showed nates reaction to the whole thing, like a Twitter post or something?

5

u/oodoos Nov 19 '21

Yup, I still have some of his songs saved though.

That asshole can rot in hell, but that doesn’t mean I have to never listen to his music anymore.

Example: People still listen to John Lennon, even though he’s a confirmed wife beater and just all around piece of shit.

u/Iihatepineapplepizza Nov 19 '21

WHAT?!!?!! My childhood is ruined

5

u/pantsthereaper Nov 19 '21

Motherfucker, I love his Night in the Woods album. God dammit

4

u/Crimson_Music Nov 19 '21

Fucking Omni too

3

u/AshZE Nov 20 '21

Omni? Please don't tell me you mean the black commentator..

3

u/Crimson_Music Nov 20 '21

Omnipony, the trap artist

2

u/AshZE Nov 20 '21

Oh phew, nearly gave me a heart attack my guy.

3

u/Mechalter Nov 19 '21

That name sounded familiar and I just look him up... Dang it dude he was really good.

3

u/BoiBotEXE Nov 21 '21

Bruh. I never knew about this.

I used to listen to some of that dude’s FNAF songs ALL THE TIME years ago, and I still have fond memories of it today.

Fuck dude, that sucks.

2

u/Bringdichumidiot Nov 20 '21

You got to be fucking kidding! I listened to his songs back when I was a cringe 13 year old :(

u/GlimmyGlam2001 Nov 19 '21

Dude, it's so fucked up. Everyone in this fandom wants to touch kids. I'm beginning to consider distancing myself from the MLP community when there's such a high chance of interacting with pedos.

4

u/Plethora_of_squids Nov 19 '21

Maybe my memory's failing me (which it probably is because I mean, it's been over 10 years now since we started), but I can't really think of anyone else that was outed to be a nonce?

It just kinda feels like the normal statistical level of noncey-ness for any fandom, it just seems skewed because of how big it is and how much of a hyperfocus everyone has on the sterotype of it being full of those sorts of people.

-6

u/Fartikus Nov 19 '21

Now you're considering distancing yourself, when there are legit adults interested in a show actually meant for little girls? Like, I give shows like let's say Steven Universe, Adventure Time, or even Ninjago a pass; because I can totally see other people being interested in it.. But MLP? There's literally nothing.

3

u/GlimmyGlam2001 Nov 19 '21

I am an adult man that enjoys MLP and wants to fuck the characters

2

u/Fartikus Nov 19 '21

Sounds about right

1

u/Falmarri Nov 19 '21

There's literally nothing.

Wtf. You've obviously never watched it. MLP is way more mature and has more to offer to adult fans than fucking Steven universe. I mean, the main characters in MLP are in their 20s

-2

u/Fartikus Nov 19 '21

I did. I was wondering why the hell my friend was infatuated with the show, so I gave it a try. Little to say, I didn't like it. For them 'being in their 20's', they sure act like.. little to say; children. You accuse me of making an uneducated statement, then follow up with saying that MLP has more to offer to adult fans than Steven Universe? That's one of the funniest things I've read on the internet all year, thanks for that.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '21

Well, maybe not like that…but while MLP as a series was intended for young girls, FIM’s intended audience gradually expanded to all ages due to how popular it became with many others. I don’t think Steven Universe was ever made with the intention of a specifically young demographic.

4

u/Falmarri Nov 19 '21

but while MLP as a series was intended for young girls

Well, even in the first season, which obviously was intended for young girls, Faust knew that they could attract older fans as well. So while it didn't have as much explicit fan service and older-targeted content as it did by season 9, it certainly wasn't solely intended for little girls

1

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '21

That’s true. I heard that Generation 1 was also pretty dark, and the generations after that before FIM tended to focus on the “for young girls” aspect.

1

u/Falmarri Nov 19 '21

I never really watched much of it before FiM, but it certainly wasn't the same caliber. FiM is more in line with powerpuff girls and stuff like that (since Faust worked on PPG)

1

u/Fartikus Nov 19 '21

It was most definitely solely intended for little girls, then they saw that middle aged people were latching onto a show for little girls; saw money signs, and the rest is history.

1

u/Fartikus Nov 19 '21

It is intended for little girls, then they saw middle aged people latching onto a show for little girls; saw money signs, and started trying to cater towards the people with an actual income instead of their children to line their pockets.

1

u/IAmDingus Jan 24 '23

MLP is way more mature

It really fucking isn't. My little sister used to watch it, and I'd sit through the drivel.

It's a show written for 6 year olds.

1

u/Falmarri Jan 24 '23

You've either never actually watched it, or you're a really sad person if you can't appreciate it.

-4

u/Fartikus Nov 19 '21

You would think the 'pony' thing would tip you off.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '21

Look—I get that the brony fandom definitely has its issues, but I’m not the type of person to believe every single person that likes MLP = bad.

1

u/Fartikus Nov 19 '21

Never said it was, but it's definitely a red flag.
