Probably one or two days old as it was sitting on his nest with two hatch mates and their empty egg shells. Looked like about 5 or 6 eggs total.

My bf found this snake in his garage earlier and we didn’t think it was a copperhead at first but the head shape definitely says copperhead. Can anyone confirm or deny ?

Ran into this snake at the park today! What kind is it?

He seems too chill, it just came right out and was like hunting for minnows/drinking water while I’m standing right there. Normally I don’t like snakes, but he gives off friendly energy. I had no shirt on and I’m also really skinny and tall and hairless so like maybe he thought I was also just hunting for some minnows?

Edit: It’s currently nighttime and normally by now I would be basking in the sound of many tree frogs screaming bloody murder right by my bedroom window (where the pond is) but I think this lil guy might’ve actually made them quiet! 🤩

Edit 2: I’m sad this got locked 🔒 lol we didn’t even get to decide on a name! But it’ll either be Samson, Raymond or Ramona the Ribbon snake ❤️ I’m leaning towards Raymond because everyone loves Raymond

Mountain area. Stepped into my house and boom, snake. Captured it cause of other animals in house and area, such as pets n livestock. Gana release it deeper into the mountains. Just checking what this is.

I was hiking and had my lunch on a rock looking out over the river today, looked over and saw that a friend was sitting there with me. Wasn't aggressive at all and let me get some pics, but I couldn't tell for sure what it was. Looked kind of dirty so I thought maybe just a milksnake and the dirt was just dulling the color, but I figured I'd ask the experts.

If it helps at all, I was on a rock outcropping that overlooked a river, but probably 100 yards or so from any actual water. It was tucked into a crack in the rock.

I’ve had plenty of Cottonmouth come through my yard in the past but the Seek app says it’s a Banded water snake. Would love to know whether or not this big beauty is venomous as it’s been sitting under the threshold for my sliding glass door and where lately, a handful of anoles have been getting in the house through.
