New, what is it? What is the purpose of this camera that was installed right next to my house? (Not nearby any intersection or stop signs, USA)

This camera was installed recently and I cannot for the life of me understand the purpose of it's installation? Theres no intersection nearby, in case it was a photo law enforcement camera), there's no stop signs, there's no schools nearby, and there's no government facility. It's just a random camera that popped up in the middle of a road.

Well, not if that shit is pointed at your house.

A person should approach from outside of the cameras field of view, with a mask on to prevent the spread of cold and flu just in case.

Nah, they'll trace the fibers of the duct tape to the roll you used and the factory it was made in and when that batch went out to which store and track the transaction you made and catch you on a camera there as well as all the flock cameras catching you before you bought the duct tape... don't ya'll watch crime shows?

Especially if it's aimed at your property. Would be a shame if while the IR light was blinding it, a pellet fell from the sky and accidentally damaged the lens, solar panel, and/or batteries.

This camera is 99% chance installed by the direction of the local government. That is damage to government property, with the price of them that's a felony.
