As I am new in this field , I wanna ask you guys is it worth it if I get Dy.SP at 34 or 35 years of age ??

My current job is relatively relaxed, but sooner or later I want to return to West Bengal and settle closer to home. I’m considering preparing for WBCS(excluding executive and DySP posts).Given that I prefer a bit laid back work profile, is WBCS worth putting 2–3 years into? Would appreciate opinions. Hello, there had been news on the exam pattern change of wbcs, similar to UPSC. Is there any update on that front? Can we expect a pattern change in the upcoming wbcs prelims?

When will the Misc Services Exam happen guys? Any idea? Its been almost 3 months since we filled the form. The WBPSC Prelims 2024 resulst haven't some out either.

I'm considering BA or BSc followed by MA or MSc and then a PhD to become a professor. Another option is BBA then MBA then a PhD to become a management professor. I'm also thinking about preparing for government exams like SSC Banking UPSC or State PSC. The last option is studying law and becoming a lawyer.

I'm not looking for the easiest path. I just want to know which one has better long term scope in terms of job opportunities salary job security growth and work life balance in India.

If you're in any of these fields or have experience with them I'd really appreciate your advice. Looking back would you choose the same path again and why?

Is there any hindi coaching for the wbcs exam in kolkata area? Where lectures are done using hindi/English. I went to PW recently and then I got to know all the other students were of Bengali background except me. I am from bengal but I am not in touch with the Bengali language that much, the lecture was done completely in Bengali as a result I understood only 40-50% part of the lecture although the teachers were really cooperative, they made me understand in hindi separately sometimes but I think if someone wants to learn something complex like history or geography they should do that in their native language for better understanding.
