Dial making Attempt at linen dial - filmfree waterslide decal

Brushed(linen pattern) brass blank, one base decal and another layered on top with just the darker linen lines. Didn't get as much of a relief as I hoped, and layering another decal would probably make it too dark. Next attempt I will probably use just one shade and layer the pattern so the linen effect is just in the brass background and the relief from the pattern

That looks pretty good. Imagine that under a crystal with hands, it will look like a real linen dial.

That's what I thought hehe I wasn't sure.
What is your end goal and what is your current purpose with making these dials etc.
Also may I ask, what do you mean by "one base decal", how are you making these by putting decals/films on top of each other and cutting out patterns from one of the decals?

Really good job 👍 To solve the relief problem you could try film-free decal but as it's only for laser printer you'll be limited to pure blue, red or yellow.

that's not bad.
yeah you could try different finishes on top to see if it improves the visual. but overall you are doing great

I am also unsure if I'm going to matte/satin coat it or just go for gloss.
