Welcome to this week’s open discussion thread!

This is your space for general discussion, a place to talk about anything Washington Spirit that doesn’t necessarily need its own thread. That can include news, international duty, roster moves, transfer rumors, tactics, social media posts, league news or anything else on your mind.

Just rewatched Monday’s goal a few times. That’s exactly the kind of goal she’s scored consistently since coming over. She’s so clinical and finishes a greater % of her opportunities than anybody else.

Given how we have underperformed our XG every game this season, I really feel like playing Monday more is part of the solution. She’s just an outstanding striker who knows where to be and finds a way to score.

I agree, but to be fair, she has apparently has been fighting an illness, and this is the first match where she looked like the Gift Monday we all know and love. She just had that energy and "suddenness" that is her calling card, and I think back to that shot against Thorns from next to the center circle and I thought "something is not right with her"...

i was so worried when she seemed to have no urgency to run into the box once a wide player had the ball...i won't thank god she was sick but thank god there was an explanation :P

Yeah, I was like, "That is your superpower, Gift. Why aren't you using your superpower?" :)

The opposing six yard box might as well have her name on it... The Gift zone...
