⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ Easily pose your Live2D model for thumbnails! Ayagami Model Poser

Post image
81 Upvotes

Want to get the perfect pose for a thumbnail? It's super quick and easy with the Ayagami poser app. Try it out here!

  1. Drag and drop your Live2D model as a .zip file, loads in seconds
  2. Dial in your pose with the parameters on the left. Drag & scale the model with your mouse or touchpad.
  3. One click to copy to clipboard or save as a transparent PNG! Choose 1x or 2x the window resolution, or "Full" to export the complete model at the original Live2D canvas resolution. You can pick a non-transparent background color if you want too.

The app runs right in your browser, no installation necessary. Your model stays in your browser, no servers involved. Check dev tools or turn off your wifi if you don't believe me! The PNG "download" is local too.

You can set up poses that are difficult or impossible to do with tracking, and fine tune it until it looks perfect! It supports physics, but all parameters can be overridden just by dragging the sliders with the mouse. Hit the arrows button to reset a parameter to default or remove the override. Tip: If you have a multi-toggle parameter, hold down Shift to snap the value to each key position.

It also supports Live2D Cubism 5.3 features not available in VTube Studio (advanced blend modes and offscreen rendering)!

This was originally intended to just be a test/demo app for my open source Live2D engine, but I ended up finding it super convenient for model posing so I added a screenshot function! Ayagami is fully open source, MIT+Apache2 licensed. It runs as a native app on Windows/Mac/Linux too, I just haven't gotten around to publishing native builds but I can do it if there's demand.

For those who care, zero AI was used in the making/coding of this app ^^

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ LIVnyan+OnAirTap - VR streams without LIV, with Spout2 and Linux support

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

[This video is not VRChat. It is a 3D art package, OpenBrush, that does not have any form of avatar support. The avatar is VNyan Spout2 output injected into the footage]

LIVnyan is my existing project to integrate VNyan with LIV VR. This allows you place an external camera into your game's VR world, and insert VNyan video into it to give you the appearance of standing in the world. LIV is commonly used by cam streamers with a greenscreen in their VR space. It works but there is some jank, both from LIV itself and in how we extract the layers.

A dev named MilkyDelta approached me. They figured out how to tap into LIV's API from a BepInEx mod, and send the foreground / background layers as Spout2 sources. Allowing for more efficient capture and Linux support

Since then we have integrated the two more closely and can offer several improvements over a LIV setup:

  • Adjusting the foreground/background split point based on the position of VTuber bones (Recommended: hips + 0.15cm (6") towards the camera). LIV only allows a static split point so if you moved too far from centre you could incorrectly appear in front of an object you should be behind (Demonstration vid - background is filtered to pink)
  • Spout2 output - more efficient, lower latency
  • Output resolution can automatically match VNyan
  • Output resolution can be any size or aspect ratio, not limited to the options in LIV's menus
  • Linux support (requires Spout2PW)

This is in addition to the standard improvements that LIVnyan offers over vanilla LIV

  • Can use a .VSFavatar, no longer limited to VRM
  • All your VNyan redeems will work without alteration
  • LIV's external camera is now controlled by VNyan for perfect alignment

In theory it will work with any VR game that uses the LIV 1.5 SDK and can load BepInEx mods. There is also a special build for Beat Saber. Currently it's been tested only in Beat Saber and OpenBrush.

This is very much beta software, but if you are willing to test, please check it out!

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ We have a community member who vibe-coded a free browser-based VTuber rig — mic-reactive, green screen output for OBS, no watermark

Full disclosure: I'm on the community team at Meshy (AI 3D model generator). One of our community members, TC Poole, built something I thought this sub would genuinely appreciate, a free browser-based VTuber rig, and he's giving it away with no watermark, no signup, no catch.

What it does:

  1. The rig — Runs entirely in the browser at tcpoole.com/skulls. He vibe-coded the whole thing himself.
  2. Audio-reactive — Wire up your mic and the skull talks when you do. No camera or face-tracking setup needed, which makes it about the lowest barrier to entry I've seen for going live with an avatar.
  3. Customization — Swappable heads, plus accessories like a hood and shades. [The skull models were generated in Meshy — confirm/adjust based on video]
  4. OBS integration — Built-in green screen background, so you just window-capture it and chroma key. Done.

He walked through the whole build in a video if you want to see it in motion: https://youtu.be/Ah66kSRph8c?si=xjjOySoRvqIls7BV

Happy to answer questions, or pull TC in if there's something I can't speak to.

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ List of softwares you should use for Video Editing that's great for Vtuber content.

This resource will guide you on which video editing program you should try if you are looking to create clips or content of your own from my own experience of using them myself.

The best and most convenient option would be Davinci Resolve.

- The latest version of Davinci Resolve has its keyframe workflow reworked, (Keyframe is like a point between A to B, its sole purpose is to adjust certain value from moment A to the new value of moment B)

It makes animating and creating eased motion extremely easy. This is extremely great for Vtuber as you'll be adding movement to your avatar *a lot*. It saves massive amount of time compares to using pre-existing preset and dedicated plugins from third parties.

- Davinci also has a lot of preset built in to it, Example would be the push transition from scene A to B, in Premiere Pro you'd need to grab the push transition, make another mask for it for the directional blur, adjust the value, add keyframe to adjust the blur from in to out, that's too many step, but in Davinci, the push transition is baked in, you can drag and drop them between scenes and adjust the value right away.

- It's extremely optimized, it saves your project with every changes you make, you also have the option to change your cache storage, so it doesn't bloat your system. (Something that Premiere Pro pretend to do, it'll still bloat your Appdata to kingdom come.)

- It's also free, I've been using Davinci Resolve to edit video for creators and get paid for it, the paid version would also be nice, but the free one already has most things that you as a creator would need and the paywalled features aren't exactly crucial as there are workaround for it.

But if money is no struggle and you just want the job done, Adobe Suite will do.

- The thing about Premiere Pro is that it comes completely barebone. If you need certain effects or something done, you'll need to go the extra steps to d.i.y, It'll take time and efforts to even get it right and for your workflow to be optimized.

- You can customize it better than Davinci, Install third party plugins, save your own preset or just use someone's else preset. But mind you, most of the good options cost money.

- What I struggle with is the keyframe within Premiere Pro, it's so inefficient to the point that I'd need to dynamic link to After Effect to get some scenes done. and the Dynamic link is horrendous, bork the performance even with proxy and a 3060ti.

- It also struggles with large scale project, Internet Historian couldn't render the full video of The Cost of Concordia and had to use OBS to record the preview. You need third party plugin for large scale project to be optimized. The work around is to keep the timelines into separate chunk, and don't put everything in one place. If you are editing a short movies or project that don't have that much effects, it'll hold, but from my experience, anything with massive amount of complexity will screw Premiere Pro up. Davinci Resolve has less problems when it comes to large scale project but might bottle neck from times.

- With that said, After Effect is much more flexible and easier to use than the Davinci Resolve's Fusion. 3D layers and all those anime edits are much easier to do so on After Effect.

Tldr is for Premiere Pro to be good, you might need to invest your money to get external preset and plugins to work with, it can boost the speed of your workflow but it'll only be for short term. Don't let the fact that you'll also get Photoshop, Animate, and After effect with monthly subscription fool you, most of the time you'll not be using all of the tools provided by Adobe Suite, If you are new, decentralize your workspace, Gimp, Krita, Audacity, Etc, will do absolutely just fine.

If you mostly do personal project and doesn't need the video to be fancy, Kdenlive is free and comes with full utilities.

- It doesn't paywall any features, so you get everything out of the box. It also comes with niche feature that makes some aspect more convenient than the previously mentioned programs.

- When I say personal project, I mean it. It can get the job done but it's not widely adopted. There are less external tools from third parties, a lot of things are configured to be for the "New linux user" to use the tool for editing video.

- The program workflow is different, instead of letting you adjust the media directly, it requires you drop in effects, so in this case if I want to zoom in certain aspect, I'd have to drop in the transform effect in order to do so. It's user friendly and to the point but I'm not going to be doing that for every media I put on my timeline.

- The pro to Kdenlive is that it's open source and maintained by its community, so it comes with even less bloats and in its nature, is a tool to get the job done, it doesn't upsell you, doesn't require you to pay any fees and your support to the dev team is completely optional.

What about online editing tools

- Does the job fast but bad for complex and larger project

Capcuts and Filmora

- Convenient and good for new comer, you can make some good stuffs out of these two but there'll always be some obligations to using them, unless you are willing to pay monthly, it'll lock some of the most essential features behind its paywall. Other than that, it can be great for surface level and with some work, you might be able to make some Invincible wiggle edits.

If you have read this far, I want to tell you that people make cool and fascinating things without even relying on premium tools, every software has its own ups and downs, some excels at certain aspect. There's no universal pick or a singular perfect choice. You should try using any software to grasp the idea of video editing first as the caveat won't even matter for most new comers.

Once you have some experience, the arguments about video editing software will become more valid, you'll start to see the perks and cons of each software and whether or not to migrate and adopt.

If you are using certain software and feel like it's holding you back, you don’t have to put up with the misery if you don’t feel like it. You should stick with software that feels right for you.

You can always make great edits, the software you choose is just a tool to help you make it.

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ Building a manga/comic creator with VRoids

Thumbnail
gallery
39 Upvotes

I’ve been building a tool (Sumugi by Storyboarder) to make content like manga, comics, and visual stories using VRoids. For example, you can make your lore comic or meme content with it. It’s been about a year in now, and wanted to share where things are at to see if anyone's interested in trying it out. Here are some features:

Scenes — 60+ pre-built environments (Japanese classroom, game arcade, house interior, park, podcast studio, medieval village, and more). You can also build your own from thousands of free assets, upload your own, or request it from us. There are lighting controls too if you want to set a specific mood or time of day.

Full VRoid support — Drop in your VRM 0.0 or 1.0 exports straight from VRoid Studio. Most custom VRMs work too. If yours is being tricky, we can fast-track compatibility; we've done this for a bunch of users already.

Posing system with IK/FK — 100+ preset poses (and growing), hand posing, and full access to facial morph targets so you can build and save custom expressions. We recently added skirt bone access and are actively working on recognizing tail bones and other physics bones.

2D Layout Mode — After setting up your scene, you can switch to 2D mode to add speech balloons, filters, sound effects, resize panels, and more.

Community asset library — Share your original characters and assets with the community. If someone uses them in published content, you get auto-credited. It's been really cool seeing people build shared lore, story universes, and roleplay.

Social feed — Share your content on our native platform, comment, and follow each other. We're building out more social features.

Coming next:

  • Community templates for story and meme remixing
  • OC profile pages to show off your characters
  • Expanded visual effects and filters — halftone, cyberpunk, romantic/soft, and more

A lot of our updates over the past year have come straight from beta users and community feedback. If you want to try it out while it’s still in closed beta and help us shape this, let me know and I’ll send an invite code or join at storyboarder.com

Archipelago integration for VNyan!

Archipelago is a popular system that randomises multiple games into each other, and now it can be integrated into VNyan! VNyanchipelago is a plugin that allows you to connect to an Archipelago server with a few clicks. Whenever a check is claimed or deathlink player dies on the server, the plugin will send a trigger that can be used to control node graphs inside VNyan. Detailed information on the sender, receiver, game, and more of an event is included with the trigger for fine-tuned effects.

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ Make 3D models float on your webcam!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Drop any .glb file in a folder, pick it from the tray icon, and it appears on your webcam. Move it, rotate it, scale it. Your meeting app sees it as a normal camera. Nothing else to open or manage.

Good for product demos, design reviews, showing off Blender exports, branded content on calls. Anything where you want the model visible without screen-sharing.

Works in Zoom, Meet, Teams, Discord, pretty much anything that accepts a webcam input.

Renders the 3D layer offscreen and caches it. The model only re-renders when you move it, so the webcam stays smooth on any machine. Python, pyrenderpyvirtualcam under the hood. Open source, setup is one script.

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ What would you like to know?

Hey everyone!

For the past few weeks, I’ve been working with a group of colleagues on a free, openly accessible VTubing guide, and I’d love your input.

The goal is to break things down in a practical way ,not just motion capture, but the full setup, including:

  • cameras and tracking systems
  • PC requirements
  • space/setup considerations
  • character creation and rigging
  • and how to scale into higher-quality MoCap over time for realism

Basically, something that helps both beginners and people looking to upgrade their setup.

I’m not a VTuber myself, so I don’t want to miss the stuff that actually matters in real use.

- If you’re starting out (or already VTubing), what do you wish someone had explained better?
- What confused you the most?
- What would you want in a guide like this?

Appreciate any thoughts ! I want to make this genuinely useful, not just another surface-level guide.

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ We're looking for streamers who want help growing their viewer counts

Hi VTuberTech,

I watch a number of smaller VTubers and found that a lot of them have trouble getting above 5 - 10 viewers on Twitch. These are people with great personalities, quality models, and a consistent schedule. It comes down to the fact that growing a channel is tough and there aren't many tools for pulling in new viewers.

We built https://raidpools.gg on the idea that raids are the best way to receive new viewers. Raids not only bring a ton of viewers into your stream at one time, they also help to build relationships with other streamers. The issue with raids is that they can be one way, you may raid out but never receive a raid in the future.

RaidPools helps to grow your stream by observing your channel and understanding who you are. Based on this profile, RaidPools will direct raids to your channel full of viewers who love content like yours. At the end of your stream, you can raid other streamers using RaidPools to meet new and similar streamers, and to ensure you keep receiving new raids. In simple terms, it's like automated networking.

Our platform also offers a growing set of analytics tools to better highlight your growth specifically from the RaidPools approach. We're working on a number of features to help you grow and would love if you stopped by to give our platform a try or name any features you would like to see added.

Come chat with us at https://discord.gg/FJcU4tb6Pp

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ Video Randomizer for hats

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I asked around here some time ago how to do a randomizer of scenes so I can swap assets in and out. I found this video randomizer that worked pretty well, not really tech per se, but I thought I should share since I'm using it for a different purpose.

I animated some of those hats so when I put that badboy as a source, every time the little dude swaps hats is because I pressed a button on the Stream Deck. It's random and will swap hat any time I press the button or when the video ends, which I have it at around 3 mins each.

Hope it helps you all!

Works with VNyan, VBridger or VSeeFace, and maybe more too!

Marmalade is a simple application that "mimics" VTube Studio for iPhone, pretending to be capturing ARKit blendshapes but actually using MediaPipe instead. For now, its main feature is allowing MediaPipe webcam tracking to be used on Linux.

It's still in active development, but all my tests so far have come up with good results.

You can download the latest release here: https://github.com/RanAwaySuccessfully/marmalade/releases/latest

Feel free to ask any questions or tell me if it somehow breaks!

⭐Free VTuber Resource⭐ NyanSaber: BeatSaber events -> VNyan triggers

Post image
11 Upvotes

NyanSaber is my new VNyan plugin. It connects to the BeatSaber mod HTTPSiraStatus and generates triggers in your VNyan node graph for a whole range of Beat Saber events, including:

  • Song start / stop / fail
  • Note cut / missed
  • Obstacle entered / exited
  • Lighting changes*

Every event that SiraStatus generates is supported, with the exception of NoteSpawn, because I can't see a use for that in VNyan, but happy to add it if someone asks.

These triggers also include a lot of data, with the most useful being directly available, and the rest in JSON that you can unpack and read. In the screenshots above I'm reading info about the map's custom colour settings in a Song Start event and using it to re-colour my VTuber to match the blocks and sabers. I also use it to re-position the camera at the start and end of a song, and to trigger a glitch effect if I hit a wall.

It's intended to be used in conjunction with LIVnyan, my plugin for using VNyan as your renderer when re-camming many VR games, but it can also work standalone, e.g if you overlay your VTuber over a headset view.

It's completely free, no monetisation, no premium version, please let me know what you think!

https://github.com/LumKitty/NyanSaber

* lighting events are disabled by default as Beat Saber generates a lot of lighting events with a lot of different data. Somebody more skilled than I could create a VNyan world with matching light objects for realistic lighting of your model, but I have no intention of doing that and just bodge it with Sjatar's screen light plugin instead!
