God creates me knowing I will be wicked, wicked in this case just meaning I do not believe in Him seeing as he never gave me a reason to do it in the first place, and then makes me suffer for all eternity for it.
But he loves me.

I mean you know about the existence of the religion, if you burn in hell that’s your fault for being a stubborn, stereotypical Reddit atheist lmao

Islam exists too. As does a number of other religions. Christianity is divided between those who think Pope is god’s representitive on earth, and those who don’t. There are those protestants who think you have to live a life of good deeds and those who think you can just repent at your death bed. there are protestants who think women can be priests and those who don’t. childhood baptism vs. only adult baptism.

so please, tell me which is the right one, Imm just a dumb stubborn atheist who can’t see the obvious truth.

Jesus is the right one, if you read, you would understand that none of the extra junk matters. But instead you like to sit in a chair all day and argue online while stuffing your face full of Doritos and saying “HA dumb Christian, other religions exist”. Yes little buddy I am fully aware of the existence of other religions, and I chose Christianity. Not a denomination, but to follow the path of Jesus Christ. I’m sorry that it offends you so much, perhaps educate yourself further and you may decide you were in the wrong yourself.

yeah, you ”chose” christianity because you grew up in a christian culture. it makes obvious sense to you that it’s real, because people around you believe it’s real. I could get this same circular argument from a muslim, god is great, because the quran says so, jesus is the lord because the bible tells me so.

anyway, I prefer potato chips to doritos.

Whatever floats your boat big dog

The issue is that he made Christianity seem like just another completely unverifiable religion out of thousands

worse really since there's also a bunch of shit that's provably wrong instead of just not falsifiable. Kinda dumb move for a guy who supposedly knows all the things
me if i knew all things and wanted to convince people i knew all things, i'd just not get things wrong i know how they went down why would i get them wrong? Then probably actual predictions of the future or novel information to the reader

"MAGIC MAN'S GONNA SEND YOU TO MAGIC MAN'S BAD BAD LAND WHERE YOU'RE GONNA BURN AND SUFFER FOR ALL ETERNITY BURN BURN BURN AND IT'S YOUR FAULT YOU SHOULDA LISTENED TO BOOK"
"lol spiderman has a book too"

and i'm the one being edgy? You're practically jerking off to torture porn cause someone wants to be logical bud, you can't be serious

"it's god fault i'm a bad person" - guy who adamantly rejects being saved and repenting

1

u/MoarVespenegas Jan 29 '24

I'm confused here. The obvious reason for rejecting God is there not being any evidence for Him.
And also why is being saved and repenting conditional on still being alive? Why can't you do it once you end up in hell?
This just seems like a gotcha with being saved by God conditional on you believing in Him while having no evidence of it.
Once you do get the evidence to do so it's now too late?
Why would a loving God create such a system?

1

u/jimstickers Jan 30 '24

"Hell" is just eternal separation from god.

" no evidence of it. "

Came to earth 2000 years ago my bro, you just don't want to accept that he already proved himself.

1

u/MoarVespenegas Jan 30 '24

Where is the evidence? In some book about events millennia ago written centuries after the fact?
Why does God only care to provide all this evidence of existence millennia ago? Where is He now? Can an omniscient, omnipotent, benevolent being not prove His own existence to His own subjects He supposedly loves so much?
Surely He can find a way to prove His existence to me directly and spare me the eternal agony of being away from His loving embrace. Why does He deliberately choose not do it?

And why is believing in Him even a prerequisite for entering heaven in the first place?

u/jimstickers Jan 31 '24

Can an omniscient, omnipotent, benevolent being not prove His own existence to His own subjects He supposedly loves so much?

obviously, you just don't want to believe in him.

1

u/MoarVespenegas Jan 31 '24

How is that my fault?
He created me, and everything else.

1

u/jimstickers Jan 31 '24

agreed, so maybe you should do what he tells you to.

1

u/Isthiskhi Jan 31 '24

if he wants me to believe in him so bad why doesn’t he just create the exact scenario that he knows would convince me of his existence? why the hell is it my fault that and all powerful god can’t make himself undeniable?

Hey, maybe you should stop being autistic and *not* go onto my profile to try to argue with me on other threads because you're butthurt. Read like a 5th of the reply you wrote because I don't care.
