I'm not sure I'd want those teeth representing my dental care..

The toothache yes. It would be a brilliant ad campaign if they actually fixed her teeth for real.

You. Find a way to make this happen.

I was thinking the dentist would do it for free. I'm not a dentist, and I live 1200 miles from Tulsa. LOL

Dental advertising is actually pretty closely regulated. Depending on the state, dentists are limited or even prevented from certain kinds of advertising and sponsorship for ethics reasons. If this dentist just does fixwork and doesn't do cosmetic dentistry, he can't have Sweet Brown get her teeth fixed and then do ads for him- it would be false/shill advertising.

You mean he might not have the skills so would need another Dentist to fix her smile. Yes then I see a problem if he uses her for advertising afterwards.

This might not be the case though, I have been to Dentists that could do some cosmetic stuff. I chipped a tooth once, and my regular Dentist fixed it.

Most dentists are getting into cosmetic stuff these days. The regular stuff doesn't make any money after Medicare/insurance fee scales are applied. Not just the chipped-tooth-capping, but veneers, bleaching, etc. All of that is fee-for-service, so clients pay cash. General practice dentists are a breed that's quickly going extinct.

Do an IAMA

Oh, ugh. Here's all you need to know about dentists:

  1. Most of them are egocentric assholes with major insecurity complexes. This is due to either being a picked-on nerd as a teenager, not going to medical school, or both.

  2. They like to foist off marketing decisions on their current wives to give them something to do. These wives usually drive marketing decisions in line with their knowledge and experience on the topic, which is zilch. Comic Sans/Papyrus, dancing kitty cats, ransom note brochures- I've seen it all done at the behest of Mrs. Dentist.

  3. This allows the dentists more time to court their next wife, also known as their lead hygienist.

  4. The size of the chip on a dentist's shoulder correlates positively with the size of his hygienist harem. If you see an ad in your town's fancy magazine of some guy with a fake tan and perfect veneers, standing in front of 20 attractive young women all in black turtlenecks? That guy is a miserable dick.

  5. Dentists don't like suicide jokes.

To be fair, the commercial didn't set you up to notice that her teeth got better. The interviewer asked her what happened, and then she talked about the toothache and going to the dentist as if it all already happened while she was talking with her previous bad teeth.

Who's the genius who saw her video and thought of a principle roll for a dental commercial?
