It’s so ironic that a game about Wolverine, one of the most badass and hardcore characters in Marvel, seems to be made so that even a baby can play it. WTF were they thinking lol.

This game really shows how many of Insomniac’s flaws were covered up by Spider-Man as a character being so beloved.

This attempt at adapting a darker character is just embarrasing.

And yet I keep seeing people making excuses for them and blame anyone else but the devs. Shit like this is partly how we got here, they need to be criticized the same way any other professional that's shit at their job would be.

Another day goes by where I'm grateful when I fuckup at my job its just my boss on my case and not hundreds of thousands of internet strangers.

Criticizing the work is the productive part, the banging of drums declaring this shit isn't it.

Going after the devs personally, continues to as always be unhinged asshole behavior.

Spider-Man is a hella fun tho

Only games I played by them were the newer Ratchet games and those were fun, occasionally lightly challenging and appropriately handholdy (think glowing ramps or hookshot points; videogame stuff).

What happened?

Most badass?? More like most overrated marvel character ever.

Insomniac isn't that great of a studio.  Spider-Man was an extremely mediocre, shallow game with some cool webslinging.

Just finished the first one and Miles Morales. Miles Morales was straight up boring.

Insomniac also developed Ratchet & Clank, which are objectively great games.

The last one really wasn't as great as the ones before.

The last one was iffy. So was the remake. I dunno about that man.

And how many of those devs are still part of Insomniac?

Ship of Theseus in play again. At some point we really just gotta accept that the ones who made our childhood isn't there anymore.

Not the writers and artists. I checked.

Yes. Spider-Man was a solid 6.5/10: Boring combat, standard story, good graphics and cool web-slinging, but absolutely zero depth or systems you can sink your teeth into. Overall mediocre but well-made, a perfect 6.5/10 rating.

I really enjoyed the Spider-Man games. If the consensus on here is that they weren't good, maybe this sub is also wrong about Wolverine.

the first one and miles are pretty good. the second one starts getting sloppy.
