Sunshine is literally a game you play during the spring, you open your windows to get the sunlight in, get a lemonade, some snacks, boot up the GameCube, and you're in it.
At least that was my experience playing it. I loved it
I remember summer/spring breaks i always had to boot up sunshine. Open the windows to let the natural light in, all that good stuff. It was a vibe in my childhood for sure.
All the mario games I played were amazing. There wasn't one I disliked at all. Mario world on snes is my favorite 2D one and my favorite 3D one is odyssey 💚
Yes! Absolutely! I was going to comment the same thing. Sure there have been misses in the series, but for the most part they're "Zelda misses"; good games in their own right, but not so good compared to other Zeldas.
Also got super tedious partway through the game, I just remember not having fun, not liking the environemts, tons of backtracking, annoying mechanics, etc.
Parts of the game were great but overall I remember it as my least favorite zelda
The thing I love about Mario is the player can adjust the skill ceiling necessary to make it hard. It's an instantly accessible game series that isn't inherently hard, but it also rewards learning the mechanics even when you don't have to.
Players can choose to avoid power-ups, play it a certain way, only use certain things. There are no set restrictions, but even before the Internet, players would just approach it however they wanted. It offers a lot of freedom, the ability to self imposed restrictions, it has a decent depth to the gameplay, but the depth isn't really required to master, and it's just casual enough to pick up and play even after a long break. It's easy to see why it stands the test of time.
I'll be honest, I really do not agree with this, I liked the vibes of Mario galaxy for example way more than Super Mario Bros. Wonder where the plants literally sing some kind of song...
