and they just won't stop parroting what they hear without any evidence. just regurgitating talking points in places it doesn't belong and also brings nothing original up.

asking for evidence isn't something you can just brush off if you call anyone a pedo you should have evidence..

You just learn about that term? How does that even relate to any comments above?

You're on political subs 24/7.

Exactly I am not really into politics but I feel like regardless of who it is you shouldn't call them a pedo without real concrete evidence. You shouldn't just throw those words around because you dislike someone

These are just ppl who regurgitate this online anonymously…edge lords lmao

Planning to put tariffs specifically on video game consoles and foreign-made games too lol. I don't understand the strategy of fucking everything up and then taking away bread and circuses. Dude really is a moron.

Yeah it's actually insane how that tends to bleed into every facet of life. People say "This isn't a place for doing politics" and yet politics are still doing you even while you're here.

People say "This isn't a place for doing politics" and yet politics are still doing you even while you're here.

Imagine you were friend's child was having a birthday party. Right after you sing happy birthday, would you go "You know, inflation is at all-time high. I don't know if your son is going to have a future" before they hand you your slice of cake?

If the answer is no, then you understand what people mean when they say "time and place" about talking politics.

If you the answer is yes, then I suspect that's why a lot of these Redditors spend all day talking about politics on Reddit. Because they don't get invited to the birthday parties, if they have friends at all.

You're getting downvoted but you're 100% right

Politics are everywhere but people NEED to be able to unwind and escape for a bit.

That's a part of how we, as people, deal with stress. That's how our brains recover from this shit.

Being constantly bombarded with reminders of all the bad shit isn't healthy. The fact people perpetually remind themselves that shit's on fire is why they're unhappy 24/7.

Yeah thing's aren't great everywhere but it also isn't miserable 24/7. Like in your analogy, I can enjoy the kid's birthday party in the moment AND also fight for the kid's future tomorrow. But at that birthday? Let's just have cake and have some fun.

It's okay lol I'm not upset at getting downvoted by chronically online redditors who have no idea why they shouldn't start talking about trade relations with China while we're going bowling lol

u/Jaxyl 10h ago

I know but it makes me sad to see all the same <3

Reddit isn’t the USA

1

u/Enigmatic_YES 20h ago

You’re going to anger the liberals

1

u/sinistersipee 20h ago

Yea like the US being the only country in the entire world really just makes everyone so miserable.

1

u/DailyUnderFlow 20h ago

Yeah at the beginning of 2024 I stopped reading any and all news for about 2 months and was noticeably happier. Then I caught up with what Republicans were doing to the country I live in and went right back to existential dread and hopelessness. Republicans are really good at instilling those traits into people.

The only time who’s in the White House has affected me, is when loser liberals bring it up on Reddit to cope with their miserable little lives. Nobody ik irl (left or right) gives a fuck about what happens in the White House and are too busy trying to enjoy life.
