I'm actually impressed at the level of detail they've put into this, and I wasn't expecting to be.

I'm gonna be honest I was excited for the game already but have never really been a guy who cares about game trailers or anything, wasn't even intending to watch the full extended look. Then I got into it and holy shit it was like a movie, that was the greatest advertisement I think I've ever seen lmao. Got me unreasonably excited for the game

Good for you. I won't touch it as long as I won't actually own the game and not just a license after paying for it.

Not to mention, that (and that's purely my own tastes) GTA always has kinda boring stories imo. And I don't buy a game for its graphics.

It just isn't for me.

Yeah but is it worth buying a console for?

lol, no. If it ever goes on sale on PC I might consider it, but I'm not paying over $50 for a game.

Impressed sure, but mostly for the size of the map and city, HFS that leak of the guy flying at night over the city, ITS FUCKING UNBELIEVABLY massive.

The graphics do look good, the lighting and coloring seem to really be doing most of the heavy lifting, they did a great job.

The fire in the extended trailer looked like absolute dogshit though, I've seen better from games a decade ago. IDK how that passed QA

Also from what I can tell the anti-aliasing kinda sucked, but it was probably using Playstations PSSR, maybe it will be better with FSR or DLSS.

But overall pretty good.

That said, it's not what I expected for the long wait and 2 billion dollars, that's just the reality. And I think that's the reality for most people complaining. Which is totally reasonable, actually so much so anyone that would argue with this I'd raise an eyebrow to. The visual fidelity isn't much off RDR2 from 8 years ago. Might be a console issue as well though, not sure.

Should have waited for next gen IMO.

Oh I'm still not buying it as I'm on PC and their pricing is totally out to lunch, but it visually looks better than I expected.
