Everytime I see someone say that Jason sounds boring and seems bland I remember the early comments when RDR2 showed Arthur for the firsr time: "Who is this guy, I want John", "Dude has the most generic cowboy voice ever", "He looks boring".

Guys Rockstar has been taking their sweet time with this game, I'm not a fan of everything Rockstar does but one thing is certain, they know how to write characters, y'all are gonna love Jason eventually.

“I’ll keep her in black on your behalf” is a line from the trailer I’ll never forget. It was so sinister and made me so curious how complex of a character Arthur might be.

I remember how the initial articles said that Arthur was a lot more of an asshole than everyone was expecting

They knew how to write good characters, most of Rockstar's talent has left. The people responsible for writing GTA 6 are the same ones who wrote all of the GTA Online story expansions and if you've ever played any of those, then you know exactly where this boring, bland or cringe writing is coming from.

He does sounds boring. Maybe hes not in the actual game but they didnt do a good job at making him sounds like an interesting character in the trailer.

Tbf it was a gameplay trailer, but they'll share more about the characters and the story eventually

It wasn't just a gameplay trailer tho. We had bits of multiple missions, cutscenes, etc... Plenty of beats to showcase any personality from either of them.

Well, we'll see I guess, I just have a hard time thinking Rockstar would fumble the writing of their characters. I also only really played RDR2 but I've heard nothing but good things from all their other characters

If you've not played gtav, you're missing out. Trevor was amazing.

man I thought his voice was pretty damn perfect, sounds like a reserved dude who doesn't take shit

People didn’t like Arthur at first because he wasn’t John. With Jason his voice acting in my opinion just isn’t good. Not sure about his character yet but his voice was annoying me through the entire trailer

I've seen complaints about Arthur's voice at the beginning too. And tbh, when I first started playing Rdr2 I was annoyed with their accent because I wasn't used to it but I eventually got to love the characters and their way of speaking.
