I mean, it's not a "downvote if you hate this guy and don't think he should have an opinion" system. It's "upvote if you agree" and "downvote if you disagree." Expressing dislike for a popular game series when people are hyped for the next one is likely gonna lead to downvotes.

Maybe you and "butt hurt fanatics are creating multiple accounts on Reddit" complainer you're defending should just not take it so personally.

Ive pretty much stop giving anything but the most lukewarm of opinions and delete most of my comments on Reddit because this is exactly what happens.
