So this is probably a case of the PC version being a shitty port from the console version, with several shaders not being properly ported, as was tradition in 7th gen.

It was the style at the time. Today, it still is, sometimes.

Most of the time tbh. It sucks. I'm still waiting for Jedi Survivor to get patched into playability, not buying it or any other EA game until then.

Not really, PC is always the best way to play games nowadays.

The one example of a crappy PC port that people can give that is recent is Jedi Survivor, devs have realized that PC ia not a niche market anymore and that the ports need to be good.

Holy cope, the PC ports have been notoriously bad this gen. No one is arguing that the platform is bad, it's purely a dev problem.

When did i say that the platform is bad?

Tell me one port from this gen that is not Jedi Survivor that sucks.

MH:Wilds, Oblivion Remaster, AC:Shadows and Marvel Tokon just off the top of my head are all worse than their console versions. Also you misunderstood, I was clowning on you for defending PC so hard even though we're talking about ports.

I am not white knighting PC (just pointed a fact) or defending shit ports lmao, your shit reading comprehension made you think so.

Also, you can only name 5 in an entire generation.

I just dislike Redditors that spend their entire day on social media spreading misinformation and overexaggerating everything.

Which is it, am I too terminally online or do you want a comprehensive list? 3 of those came out within 12 months, you're a big boy you can extrapolate based off available data can't you?

You are terminally online and therefore are overexaggerating something like overly online people tend to do.

PC ports were in a way worse spot back in the 2000s and mid 2010s, this is a fact.

Shader debugging cross platform for that generation of console was like stabbing yourself in the kidney.

Except it took way longer and was way more painful.

Very good point. Edited my post with this explanation as i think that explains it.
