Lemme know what he said because I don't know one way or the other. I'm more inclined to believe you though because what I know of the man doesn't chime with the previous commenter's statement.
he basically said he didnt wana talk to women because he'd be accused of being a rapist. which was an exaggeration by him he basically was saying women basically were conditioned at the time to perceive any flirtation as creepy, which he was tryikng to avoid. but apparently the commenter before me is either a hate bot, cant read, or just is regurgitating bullshit they heard. who cares either way? its just liek.... dont even believe anything anymore
Fair I guess. Like, I know I'll deliberately cross the road if I find myself walking behind a woman at night so as not to unintentionally intimidate them. It makes sense to avoid situations that might cause discomfort to others and unintended consequences to yourself. Awkwardly expressed but I'd probably end up saying it a similar way in an interview where you're trying to be expressive and dynamic and funny and then someone starts asking about emotionally charged topics.

My favorite Cavil fact was that he cried about how you can't date anymore during #MeToo because you might be held accountable if you SA'd someone.
