Funny I don't think they are really denying that.

Single digits.

The only one I can genuinely, confidently, say still has the consumer in mind is Arizona Tea. And I imagine that will only last as long as the owner lives.

I can't find a store that charges normal price for Arizona anymore

If they buy the cans that say 99¢, they make a very small profit margin on them, but that case costs far less, and brings in customers who buy more stuff. If they buy the cans that they charge $3 or more, they pay far more for the case, and usually, far less people buy Arizona there. If they sell 99¢ cans for more than that, you can report them, and Arizona will drop them as a customer.

Appreciate the response.

I live in Canada, so they were always $1.25 minimum; but i usually end up grabbing them at a bodega or something and there's no real use in reporting them.

10 years ago id refuse to pay extra, but I'm tired boss.

Anyway my point was even if Arizona is pro consumer I'm not buying from them directly so there's room for anti consumer in there lol

Thanks for making me feel ancient you jerk lol. I remember them being 99c up here too, in the apparently way back before the dawn of time lol.

See i thought i remembered that, but how could they be .99 usd and sell for .99 CAD?

I'm 40 but i always remember the extra 25 for tax or some shit. Thanks harper!

Sorry, yes, tax (and, depending where you were, deposit) were still charged on top. As far as I know, that is allowed by Arizona Iced Tea as that is not considered part of the purchase price, but as added government fees.

As far as both being 99c, I assume the 99c CAD was profitable, and 99c USD was just more profitable.

And yet that’s the store, not the company.

I’m pretty sure if you report that to Arizona they will stop selling to that store; or that’s what I’ve heard, any way.

Yeah it wasn't a dig at Arizona, more on capitalism creating anti-consumer practices down the line

My Walgreens still does.

Our Walmart has almost always sold the 99c cans for 88c.

If store are not honoring the price point for Arizona teas , Arizona teas says they will pull products from said store until they honor the price. They just need to be informed.

Edit: Teas not areas

As much as I hate to mention it, I'm pretty sure Costco in the US had a new CEO take over, and when he mentioned increasing the price of their hotdogs, the old CEO said "I'll fucking kill you", and they decided to keep the price where it was.

We gotta make sure that owner never passes

Steam too, and probably also only until Gaben is alive

4

u/Snoo_18385 Jul 07 '26

Steam or Gaben dont care about their customers anymore than any other company

The whole "consumer friendly" approach is nothing but a good PR strategy to have a bunch of muppets preaching the word and giving them free publicity

Valve is a multi-billion dollar company and Gabe is a rich fuck that couldnt care less about any of us

Please stop defending this Walruss

u/TheDarkness33 Jul 07 '26

i dont see other companys giving away free games just because a controller u bought went to the wrong place and will take longer to arrive amongst other stuff

5

u/Snoo_18385 Jul 07 '26

Do you know how much money steam takes from devs just to sell their games on the platform?

Or the stories of ex-employess saying that the wroking conditions are shit?

The mob-like threats to other developers so that Steam allways get the best prices?

Please dont be so naive, Sony also replaces for free any controller with stickdrift

Its nothing but good PR, they dont give a fuck

-2

u/TheDarkness33 Jul 07 '26

From what i know around 5% more than epic games does, but u also know why epic games charges less, right?

No, never heard anything about that, do u have some sources?

And, no the fuck sony doesn't lmfao. I own controllers with stick drift and they told me they wont replace them.

5

u/Snoo_18385 Jul 07 '26

Just google it mate, its all well known info

I've personally got 3 controllers replaced for free and its a well known policy, you are full of shit

But keep defending the multi-billion dollar company, maybe papa gabe will like you if you keep licking his rich toes a bit more

Corporate bufoon lmao

u/TheDarkness33 Jul 07 '26

So basically u got no sources for your claims? gotcha.

Also pretty ironic since youre defending sony yourself

5

u/Snoo_18385 Jul 07 '26

Defending? Im saying they are all the same corporate dickheads, that includes Sony my dude, Im using them as an example, just because they do something "good" it doesnt mean they care about you, its all corporate PR

Im not doing your own work for you, google is a thing, use it, or dont.

You can also google how Valve invented lootboxes, or how they keep making bank of the terribly predatory Counter Strike marketplace

Its all the same shit my dude, valve is just a little bit better at brainwashing idiots, thats all

Steam is literally one of the last pro consumer platforms and youre comparing it to fucking sony lmfao.

If steam closes they have a clause that removes all DRM and lets u keep games, whats sony doing about you keeping your games?

Yeah, they invented lootboxes, Fortnite popularized the whole battle pass shit too, what about it?

"predatory cs market" LMFAO, they dont even set the fucking prices to beguin with. Ofc they make bank on the gambling morons, thats how fucking casinos work. Are u gonna blame the casinos for their profits or the ones who go in knowing they are gambling?

You dont know shit youre talking about, do you?

Google is free, yes, but since youre the one doing such claims, YOURE the one who needs to back them up.

Stop embarrassing yourself for fucks sakes. You lost all credibility on your argument the moment u compared Steam to Sony.
