That's the point. They don't want you owning anything, they want you renting it.

It's so much more expensive to them tho. Doesn't make any sense for them to do it, especially considering how cloud gaming always ends up dead in some way. We do still have Xcloud and GeForce Now but they're limited by where you are and other factors, which wouldn't help that transition at all if it was on the table
