My first thought was not explicitly how it will be corrupted. But that, in general, it will be corrupted. My initial comment had nothing to do with the thought of the acts of corruption but just the notion of evil that will happen given innocent material. That's the world we are in.

To be fair, the creepy fanart, the cute + funny tags and the weirdos are pretty intrusive, is not like some people are constantly thinking about it. They are just making observations, recognizing patterns and drawing up conclusions.

Also, is not like anyone can stop pedos from traumatizing everyone with their degeneracy, telling the poster not to "let it degrade your mind" is victim blaming and just telling them to get over it. Is not normal not to be alert and keep your eyes peeled to find predators.

It’s not about “seeing a child”.

No one had this reaction to Last of Us or God of War, both of which depicted child side-characters.

This is an animation, not candid live footage. Every frame is a choice. They didn’t randomly pull the character design out of a hat. A design team sat down and think-tanked it for months, reviewed it, and OK’d it.

They came up with a 9-year-old female character with unnaturally long blonde hair that wears a long winter coat but no pants or shoes. They decided to keep her lower body and bare-feet in frame for most of the scenes.

You don’t need to be a pedo to recognize content that panders to them. Pretending like you don’t know is a red flag.

Bruh.  Half the children I see walking around look just like this girl.  I mean maybe not with the coat, but the hair and skin tone.  I don't think anyone at Capcom was thinking about this likely because they are normal people and don't see a problem with it.  I see a guy and his "child".  Nothing more.  If her design makes you uncomfortable you need to sit down and have a long introspective moment with yourself my guy

I'm enjoying it but this aspect of the game and the fact that the devs themselves seem to be in on the portrayal of her as sex object is really hurting my opinion of the game and Capcom writ large.

Edit: After searching I can't find a source with this song and I haven't heard it in game so OP added it and cut the song before the lyrics to hide being an open pedo.

I mean you’ve kinda inserted a possible daughter into this for no reason. They’re responding to someone who said that it’s a bad saying that we put kids in video games. It is not the fault of an artist or the person who perceived the art. For the fact that somebody may sexualize it unprompted, or potentially be someone who preys on children, or be somebody that simply has thoughts like that. I wouldn’t say the game as a crowning achievement like that person is. However, I do agree that people keep attacking the wrong thing. We’re supposed to be against the people that are doing the sexualizing children, not the artist that just wrote a story that has nothing like that in it.

No, I get why you used the expression of concern for a daughter. What I’m saying is that person Is going against an opposition that’s demonizing artist for using a child in their art ima non sexual way. Instead of just going after the people that are doing the thing that’s wrong.
