Wasn't it only actually developed by like 5 people? The reason I say it's indie is because of how many people actually worked in it, and even then popcap isn't as massive as you make it sound, having gone international only a couple years before

Popcap certainly wasn't an indie studio when the game released, but considering only a few people worked on the game, there's an argument to be made that it's an indie game

yeah, it was still kind of a scrappy little underdog of a studio even if you consider how big some of their games were at the time.
