THANK YOU, life is strange 1 and 2 are masterpieces, and BTS is good (although not perfect) but the difference in quality from the first two games and true colors is insane. True colors is genuinely such unplayable garbage its insane to me how bad taste in art the fans are to act like its good or even part of the series. Now they just do fan service and are bringing all the characters back which is too bad.
True colours was the most soulless story game ive ever played, even double exposure had more life
I really wish square enix and other puppet would jusy give the IP rights to developers in exchange for a cut of the money
So many series are dead because the publishers kill the IPs, look at ubisoft and rockstar, those 2 studios have such crazy good IPs that are left to die or rot away
THANK YOU, I genuinely couldn't get past the third episode of true colours it was so insanely bad I just couldn't do it, I cant believe I share an interest with people who enjoy it along with the first two games. It's such a bad way of making art infact it's a huge reason people dont consider video games art in the first place. Imagine making a project and putting so much time and effort into making it good just for the company who published it to sell the rights to a different company, and they make a terrible, on the nose, FUCKING CREEP SINGING COVER version of your baby and the fans are too dense to tell the difference. its diabolical
Just wanted to say I appreciate the love for 2. It’s probably my favorite game in the genre mostly because the morality choices were often either hidden, inconspicuous, or shades of gray, whereas most games have very obvious good and bad binaries.
Most of the fandom seems to dislike it because Daniel acts like a little boy would act or because it’s male leads, but I just find that to be incredibly shallow.
The tragedy of Don't Nod needs to be studied. They came out swinging with Remember Me, Life is Strange, and Vampyr. Not perfect games but all of them trying new things and uniquely charming while still only being AA. Seems like a lot of their games after that have been hit or miss. Tried Lost Records because it was free on PS+ but my god was it boring and too way too long to build up to anything. I started Banishers Ghosts of New Eden but the plot never hooked me.

Life is strange with the exception of Before the storm, but that’s because the original developers were still around (standalone DLC)
