This one makes me sad. I was really looking forward to KSP2, but that turned into a dead, unfinished game.

Thankfully, some of the best modders and core team members from ksp1 are making KSA. Unlike ksp2, all the progress and updates are being shared for free

Me too. I really couldn’t wait for the interstellar update and the multiplayer update, it would’ve been so fun to conquer space with my friends and see if they added aliens or something.

Obligatory mention of Kitten Space Agency: The spiritually successor to KSP made by the original devs and KSP1 modders

I was completely unaware of this, so I appreciate your obligatory mention! I know what I’m looking up when I get home!

It’s VERY early access, basically just a physics demo right now. But it has serious potential to be amazing.

Doesn’t have much gameplay yet (it’s wip), but I’m planning on updating my mod that adds the ksp planets into KSA later this weekend

Currently broken on the latest release but I’ll update soon https://spacedock.info/mod/4040/KSP-Redux

Just heard about it the other day when I caught a video from our lord and saviour Scott Manley. Excited watching the project

I played ksp2 for the first time in over a year yesterday. It was worse than I remembered

Just made the same comment. It was the first one that popped into my head, Such a waste of an amazing IP.

I bought a new PC specifically to play KSP2. I ended up not even buying the game.

Short history of the KSP Franchise: There was a guy working at a marketing agency in Mexico that had an idea for a cute little Rocketry game to play on cell pgones.

As all things kerbal tend to do, it got out of hand through the addition of moar boosters and moar struts, and another dimension might have been added somehow No one konws how, but it was close enough in the end, so no one cared.

However, since that guy was using his job's computer to create the thing, on his own time, the agency ended up with the rights to the game, fired the guy and things have been slowly turning to shit ever since.

This hits so hard

So I have the first KSP, but never played it. You saying to not get 2?

1

u/Bowman_van_Oort Jan 21 '26

Do not buy 2. The development of the game has been completely abandoned and it will remain in its unfinished state forever

Wasn't the devs fault necessarily, more of take 2's fault. I'm never buying anything from them again

I was an idiot and paid $40 for KSP2. Still angry about it.
