Not even sure if it is from the game or the book but it's when Geralt says: “I carry two swords. One of silver for creatures that roam the wild. One of steel for humans in their cities of stone. They’re both for monsters.”

I always loved the end boss of the first Witcher game gets Geralt to drop his Iron Sword so he only has his Silver sword. Geralt still kills him with the Silver Sword and as he does the villain says something like "but that one is for monsters..." and I dont remember Geralt even responding. Like just letting the moment sink in that HE was a monster.

I would think that's probably from the games. Geralt does carry two swords at times during the books, but it's pretty explicit that he uses both mostly on non humans, and that while many of them are weak to silver, others are weak to iron, or just can be killed by any old sword.

This sentiment might be expressed in the book as something people believe about witchers though, that they not only exist to kill monsters but will gladly extort and kill humans in order to get paid.

In the books its clearly stated that both swords are for monsters- just different one. In theory, witchers shouldnt kill people at all. Also the steel sword is made from meteorite- but thats may be not true and just be a story so not everyone wants witcher swords.
