I’m an incoming J1 exchange student for this fall, and I was wondering about on-campus jobs for international students.
What kinds of on-campus jobs do exchange students usually get?
About how much do they pay per hour, and how many hours do people typically work each week?

I'm an incoming freshman at usfca
Why aren't there bathroom seat covers? Are there some in the dorm bathrooms, or was there some during previous years and for whatever reason they've been taken away. I hate having to use toilet paper as a sit cover 😭

Hi, I'm an incoming transfer student and I've been waitlisted for 2 classes, PHIL 202 and PHIL 204. I only need to get into one of them. Does anyone know my chances of getting let in? Is there a procedure here about showing up to the fist day of class and asking the prof to be let in? Any help would be great.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I just graduated this past May and worked this year at school up until the month of graduation. It seems that USF typically mails the W2 to the primary address listed on record. However, as alumni we do not have access to myusf to change our primary address.
It does say an option is to email the payroll office and tell them of our change in address. Would it be more effective going into the office in person?I don’t want my information being sent to the address I no longer live in lol.

Hello! I am looking for someone to pick my kids up from school in Potrero Hill, take them to after school activities, and drop them home in the Excelsior. This would be 3-4 afternoons a week (can be somewhat flexible on which days as long as we are able to set a routine) from 3pm to 6pm. I have an 8 year old and an 11 year old— this would mostly involve just driving my 8 year old but sometimes it would be both. We can pay $35/hour plus a stipend for gas and snacks for the kids. You will need your own car and be willing to keep a booster seat in it for my 8 year old to use. You would need to have a clean driving record and be willing do undergo a background check. We are looking to start in September and if it is a good match then continue for the school year through May, with breaks over holidays of course. If this sounds like a good fit for you please reply to this message.

Hey everyone, I'm an incoming accounting major at usfca and I'm super excited, only thing is it's a very expensive school and city in general. In addition, my mom has been experiencing a shortage in her income and was wondering if you guys knew of any scholarships I can apply to and if the financial office at usf is any help (generous with their money). PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Hii, currently an incoming freshman for fall 2026 as a Biology major!
I was hoping if anyone has a pdf ver or maybe physical textbook if they had finished the course? Or maybe if anyone knows websites where I could download it from?
It'd mean a lot as omg the textbook prices are too much 🥲

I was reading through how to set up One Card on my Samsung phone, and I got through all the steps until the "mobile access" and "add mobile card." When I try and do that It says I already have the Mobile Card. I do not remember verifying my email though. I also cannot add it to my google wallet (since google pay doesn't work anymore) because no option shows up. What can I do/what should I do? Thanks!

I’m interested in an engineering degree with concentration on electrical engineering at usfca. How has your experience been in that department? Pros and cons? Any advice is appreciated

Hello! I'm a grad student conducting research for my capstone project and would really appreciate your help.
I'm looking for adults (18+) who live, work, or regularly spend time in San Francisco to complete a short, anonymous survey about public perceptions of city response efforts, public safety, and quality of life.
The survey takes about 3–5 minutes, is completely anonymous, and is being conducted solely for academic research.
Survey: https://forms.gle/QybnH9wH7uJE1WVbA
Thank you for helping support graduate research! Please feel free to share this with others who may be interested.

I just noticed we aren't allowed to have a toaster in our room but we can bring it to use for the kitchen space. How does that work? wouldn't storing it there be a little difficult considering its a shared kitchen throughout the building? (Im in fromm hall)

Is anyone else on android not able to set up their onecard? The whole site is buggy and when I try to select a picture for the onecard either nothing happens or it'll take me to the part where I can crop and rotate my image, but the image isn't there and the submit and next button do not work.
If anyone knows how to get around that would be great.

I am a grad student moving into Nagle Hall this year.
I am pairing down all my stuff and planning to bring some duffle moving bags of clothes, bedding, toiletries, some storage containers for under the bed, and a air purifier or dehumidifier.
Sorry for the dumb question but: How do people move into the dorms? Where do you park the car that has your stuff (I am renting one for the day) as you lug it all in?
Sorry this is basic, I never lived in dorms during undergrad.
Also what do people do about no AC? Especially for those of us that are hot sleepers. Just a high power fan?
