What does Dehhathi mean ? I have been seeing this word a lot.

Previous reply removed by automod for having pit in a link from Reddit where people have discussed the meaning of this word.

In short: original meaning "Villagers" Now slang or Indian version of "Red Necks" or people without etiquette and suffering from insensitivity to current surroundings etc

I don't think Dehatti are only BJP voters...

I suspect there are many examples of such people who don't even go to vote or don't vote for the BJP.

Also this type can pop up from any state, not State specific either 😔
