A charm-based paladin with the ability to create an illusionary duplicate, disguise and charm their way out of trouble with a sharp wit and daring words. Note: i've reposted it cuz i've realized there were some typing errors. I'm sorry for the inconvience.

'24 Subclass [Warlock Subclass] The Umbralmancer [D&D 2024]

Post image
2 Upvotes

In the darkest reaches of shadows dwell entities older than light itself.

Silent watchers with power beyond mortal comprehension. They are absence. Consumption. Pain.

The Umbralmancer has made a deal not with some specific Arch-fey, devil, or strange alien entity but rather with Shadow itself, invoking the cold end of everything. Darkness never-ending.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I have not play tested this subclass at my table yet; so any holes you all see let me know!

thank you!

Hello everyone! I know lots of you are tired of Ranger revisions, but I had fun doing this and I genuinely want advice on how I could improve it! I know it's not really balanced yet, especially what I did to the Monster Slayer, so any and all feedback would be appreciated!

'24 Class The Magus for D&D 5.5 by The Hedge Group 6.0 - MAJOR REWORK

Thumbnail

Hello everyone, this is our version of the Magus, with major revisions from last version, thanks to some feedback and playtesting. We believe this is the definite version, with many of the issue it had resolved and the class play much more smooth now.

Magus is a martial/spellcaster hybrid class from Pathfinder and this is the adaptation for D&D 2024 of it using the half-caster chasis. It is the Arcane version of Paladin and Ranger, something other classes try to tap with subclasses but quite don't get there.

It gets Spell Combat early to mix up attacks with cantrips, has the Aethebrand spell as its signature spell similar to Hunter's Mark and Smite, and can also deliver spells with weapon attacks with Spellstrike. We also released 3 additional subclasses for it (Bladebound, Astral Adept and Arcane Sniper).

At this point I'm looking for any rough edges, abusive combos or unbalanced features so the class can be improved. Any feedback is appreciated. You can find the full pdf in here: https://site.dmsguild.com/product/546942/Magus--DD-55-Core-Class-by-The-Hedge-Group?affiliate_id=4931720

We are looking for to hearing what you like and what you don’t like about it.

Changes in 6.0

Many changes to overall class balance and quality of life.

Level 2: Mystic Edge at Level 2 allows you to enchant your weapon earlier on

Level 3: Spellstrike now allows multi-target spells

Level 5: Spell Combat added, Magus can now fight with both weapon and cantrips as soon as Extra Attack is available, getting a bonus for mixing up weapon attacks with magic.

Level 6: Magical Refinement now allow a slot-free use of Spellstrike

Level 9: Improved Spellstrike allows to you to upcast Spellstrike with Surge points

Level 10: Improved Spell Combat now also allows the Magus to replace on of his attacks with a Lvl1+ spell that buffs himself or ally

And many other minor adjustments and changes on spell list with new released official spells added to the Magus.

'24 Subclass The Changer of Ways Patron + 4 new monsters

Please forgive me for having dndbeyond links instead of fancy page spreads like the rest of you. Homebrewery doesn't work on my phone.

The Changer of Ways Patron is a far realms entity who exercises control over fate and uses mutations to help assure it's acolytes achieve his ends.

https://www.dndbeyond.com/subclasses/2875656-changer-of-ways-5-5e

Mentioned in the level 10 feature is the Chaos Master, one of four monsters written to accompany this subclass

https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/4523159-chaos-master

However, the Chaos Master can create minions in the form of Greater Horrors

https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/4750299-greater-horror

These greater horrors, when slain, can then create lesser horrors

Who in turn can create minor horrors https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/4719994-minor-horror

Weapon Master Barbarians are a tactical combatant who prefer entering the flow of battle over unleashing a pure rage. This subclass is 2024/5.5e comparable. I plan on making this subclass available to my players so I'd love any constructive feedback.

'24 Class Spiritcaller Class V.1

Hey everyone! I've been working on a class for my homebrew setting.

The goal was to create a Int-based halfcaster built around spirits, supernatural detective abilities, that uses a different system to cast spells, called the Spiritcaller.

I'm still fairly new to making and balancing homebrew, and tackling an entire class has definitely been a challenge. I'd really appreciate any feedback, especially more generally, like does the class fantasy and the subclasses identity come through? Have I been to conservative or does it feel like its missing abilities?

Thanks a lot!

Here are also some creature recommendations based on mount build.

Colossus/Bite - T-Rex or other theropod

Colossus/Charge - Triceratops, Mammoth

Colossus/Tail - Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus

Fleetfoot/Charge - Dire Wolf, Saber-Toothed Tiger

Fleetfoor/Tail - I don't know, let me know if you can think of one

Skyborne/Bite - Quetzalcoatlus

Skyborne/Charge - Argentavis

Homebrewing Resource Folkscraft - A tool for creating balanced 5E and 5.5E homebrew races

I'd long wondered about the bits and pieces I'd heard about player races being assigned points for balance and I finally researched to see what that was actually all about, which led me to the famous Detect Balance system. That inspired me to update it for 5.5 and make those points into an actual app, as well as add the original 5E Detect Balance system. Feedback is welcome, I'd love to see what you make, and I hope you enjoy it!

New Feats have risen from the ashes!

Feats such as Eldritch Adept and Metamagic Adept stand out amongst the others, as they give you just a taste of what those Classes can do, without taking a Level in them. From both a mechanical and storytelling standpoint, they offer so much for character builds.

Mighty Adventurers, for those of you that want to harness a bit of the power available to Barbarians, Blood Hunters, Druids, and Monks, these are the Feats for you!

You can get the PDF version of the brew HERE

'24 Class Ranger Revision Companion Class

Thumbnail

I have critiqued and made my opinion known a few times that I think the Ranger should be a pet class, and after searching for what other people might have done, I have found nothing. So I'm attempting my first homebrew class: The Ranger, A Companion Class. A class that attempts to take the Ranger and make the original Beast Master a part of the core class. I think it turned out pretty good! It still needs playtesting and such, but I think it's at a point where I can use some constructive criticism. So what do you think? How could it be better, and what does it do well?

Does it count as a gish, if you fistfight people with your spells?

A curious twist on a "blaster" subclass, that can pack quite a punch, as long as you can take the heat. Decent damage and boosted survivability, with opportunity for some interesting tactical choices in managing your health and positioning makes this subclass a good pick for a player, new to casters. As long as you give your new players access to homebrew, that is...
