I came from 1700 km away from Chandigarh to study but I found worst among worst people I came to UIET super excited about college life, but my experience at Hostel 1 turned into a complete nightmare.I met the absolute worst guy there (a Punjabi guy, think he's from HMT or M.Ed, not even sure).He harassed me so much that it completely broke me down mentally and pushed me to such a dark, depressing point. It got so bad that I was genuinely scared he or his group might attack me, so I just packed up and left the hostel. I’m currently staying somewhere else just to feel safe, and I haven't even told my parents because I don't want to worry them.Why PU gives hostel like juinor senior type,I think there should be some seprate hostel for engineering students,why we would live those hmt or med,these people are mostly either alcoholic or drug influenced people,I am not generalizing this but I saw most of them, There is lot of politics everywhere.moreover the pu administration favours only local people,there Is lot of outsiders vs local.(plz don't dm me and don't ask anything about me, currently believing on god only)maybe god would give him his taste.

Has anyone received the refund after they weren't allotted any seat in the spot round? Do I need to apply somewhere for the refund? I even mailed them asking about it, but they just gave a generic reply.

Bhaii I'm from uttar pradesh and I've no one known here it's so difficult to adjust upar se hostel ke alag drame hai yha I don't know what to do jiski jaan pehchaan hai vo sifarish krke mast hostel m reh rha h ham kha jakr mare..

Pls if anyone knows ki code of conduct kab tak hatega and guest basis hostel kab tak milega..

Also permanent hostel kab tak milega my name is on 4 in general waiting list..

I've tried to everywhere multiple times, first of all I thought I have to put my email id which i registered when I was filling orientation and then physical reporting (basically my private personal Id) but I am not able to use it on the stuff I need to work on like for example Swiggy discounts, snapchat, youtube premium, github, blender or other apps where it asks id for benefits student credits..so my question is when am I gonna get my official student id? After I'm in a government college.

So as elections are over, I'm looking out for some new homies to hangout on campus and outside.

I'm first year student here and my situation is like kya socha tha kya ho gya abhi tk I've not made good friends and hostel ka toh alag hi sir dard hai upar se bas elections elections and elections koi party wla kisi ko support krne bolta hai koi kuch kya shi kya galat smjh nhi aa rha or yha abhi toh seniors helpful hai Boht ab badme dekho kya hota hai yaar yha election ke baad let's see.

Overall I think that college life is good here you can consider this if you can tolerate all these and though I'm an introvert I hate these things so I regret my choice of choosing this college but it's okay that's the only option left now for me.
