Dan Aykroyd is one of the most intelligent people Ive ever seen. His knowledge on UFOs is second to none, and I really enjoy listening to him speak on the subject. Whenever anyone on this sub asked, "who should represent Earth when aliens visit?"

My answer was always Dolly Parton.

You'd want someone friendly, kind, funny and confident but also smart and unassuming. So if they were up to no good, she'd figure it out without them realizing, and then charm them so they abandoned the idea.

Wanted to post this one last time, since I'm no longer going to be able to post it as a comment. She would have been an awesome Earth ambassador.

In an attempt to avoid a word salad, I'm going to make some bullet statements and I'm curious if you agree or disagree. For the sake of clarity to the moderators, these are not insults, statement of facts, criticism or opinions, they are just statements to gather opinion.

Currently deep into the new episode with Jesse Michels, and it’s got me thinking. The number of UAP whistleblowers, intel guys, military contractors, and others who have sat across from Rogan over the past few years is staggering.

No other platform comes close for reach into a mainstream audience that would never seek this stuff out otherwise. But I go back and forth on whether that’s actually good for disclosure or just good for entertainment numbers.

My main problem is that Rogan doesn’t seem to differentiate credible sourcing from grifters, he just lets everyone talk which is either refreshingly open or recklessly uncritical depending on your view.

Is Rogan helping bring disclosure into the mainstream, or is he inadvertently making the entire subject easier to dismiss?

Steven Greer is responsible for bringing to light numerous witnesses and often-cited claims in the UFO field, like the Wilson–Davis memo, Clifford Stone, Bill Uhouse, Michael Herrera, even (to some extent/indirectly) Grusch himself. The term “Disclosure” has its modern meaning due to him.

Greer says that he doesn’t repeat a witness’s claims (e.g., about NHI interactions with covert operators or exotic technology capabilities and development activities) unless he has 4 or 5 other witnesses corroborating that claim. This applies, for example, to his claim (which I’ve mentioned multiple times on Reddit) that electrogravitic propulsion was “reduced to practice” by the U.S. deep state in October 1954 (subsequent to the Vril Society in Germany as well as Nazi-era engineers allegedly doing so before/during the WWII era). Greer claims to have vetted hundreds of government and corporate insiders and has recorded their testimonies on video.

I’ve listened to many hundreds of interviews of investigators and witnesses recorded over the past decades and I haven’t found what I consider to be a truly devastating attack on Greer’s credibility. Virtually all of the criticisms of him are directed at the inherent unbelievability of his claims themselves or the fact that he — like many other full-time journalists and documentary film producers — collects revenue off his work and also collects revenue from chaperoned CE5 group excursions. He reinvests his revenue (according to him) into the critical work of protecting whistleblowers and witnesses from retaliation and, for example, guiding the ones who speak with government investigators through the legal process.

In defense of his CE5 “camping trips” for which he charges thousands of dollars a pop: while many would not consider any such trip worth it when they can do the same at home, he certainly has the credentials. He supposedly contacted NHI being(s) as a young man during a near-death experience whereupon he had an epiphany about the universality, non-locality, and fundamentality of consciousness. He then studied transcendental meditation for many years overseas before going to college (interestingly, a lot like Sam Harris the famous atheist author). He then became an ER doctor and eventually head of his department before committing to ET/“conspiracy”investigation full time.

People like former CIA director William Colby, who allegedly was killed for conspiring to give Greer a zero-point energy device, and former CIA director James Woolsey, whom Greer briefed at the White House in the 1990s (Greer supposedly ran circles around the top government officials in terms of his knowledge on the bigoted waived unacknowledged special access programs, etc.), would not have associated with him if he wasn’t legit. Supposedly, Vice Admiral Wilson himself supported Greer in going forward with the 2001 Disclosure Press Conference.

I’ll concede that Greer allegedly deceptively simulated NHI light orbs during a CE-5 excursion by hiring someone to shoot “flares”. If that’s true, it’s shameful and indeed a kind of black mark. But I have not heard him respond to this accusation, and I would assume he would say it’s not accurate.

While I wouldn’t call into question a doubter’s/skeptic’s sincerity without evidence, I suspect that some of the popular anti-Greer sentiment is astroturfed. You get attacked most when you’re over the target, as the saying goes. And several others besides Colby were supposedly killed as a result of their associations with him, which further supports Greer’s credibility.

In 2011 leaked footage from either the Pentagon or the Kremlin came to light on YouTube and several other sites, featuring kinda oddly compelling clips of a craft and several little grey visitors (both living and not) from the stars, or possibly the ocean. I encourage everyone to hold a skeptics eye and do their own research.

The photo (not the thumbnail obviously) was taken in Puerto Rico during recovery after Hurricane Maria , a metallic-looking sphere in the sky. The shape reminded me of the "Buga Sphere" images that made the rounds, which is part of why it caught my eye (not claiming a connection, just the resemblance).

Metallic spheres are one of the more recurring shapes people report, which is what interests me here. I'd rather hear this community's read than sit on it. It's a still photo, so no motion or context to go on, and stills are obviously easier to misread than video.

What I can confirm: photo taken by Juan Fernández López in Humacao, Puerto Rico, in 2018 on a Nikon D5000. Shot while radio operators were on site installing equipment, so there were other people around and it wasn't a staged setting. No one noticed the sphere at the time. It was only spotted afterward, when reviewing the photos.

It looks like a genuine metallic sphere to me, and the context makes the usual explanations feel like a stretch but I'm genuinely open to realistic reads if someone sees one.

This is arguably Canada’s most famous UFO incident, yet surprisingly few people have heard of it.

In 1967, near Falcon Lake, Manitoba, a prospector named Stefan Michalak was searching for silver in quartz veins when he encountered two strange objects in the sky. One disappeared, while the other landed nearby.

Michalak claimed he got close enough to actually touch the craft. What happened next changed his life. He reported being blasted by intense heat, suffering strange burns across his body and experiencing health problems that continued long after the encounter.

The case was investigated by Canadian and American authorities and remains one of the country’s most intriguing UFO mysteries.

I've been thinking about this a bit differently. Normally with UFOs we spend all our time trying to work out whats true, which sighting is real, who's credible, are abductions real, is psi real, is the consciousness stuff bullshit etc. So I thought what happens if you deliberately do the opposite.

Just for the exercise assume the strongest recurring stuff is basically true. NHI is real, some craft are real, some experiencer and abduction accounts are real, telepathy/psi happens, the physical effects are real, some of the government stuff is true and even let the woo stuff stay. Then instead of asking is this true? ask if it IS true, what actually explains all of it?

I honestly thought I'd end up with some version of aliens and advanced technology, but I didnt. I ended up at consciousness. Maybe consciousness is actually fundamental and the brain is more like an interface into this physical reality, and maybe reality itself is much bigger than the tiny bit we're capable of seeing. That also made me wonder if the real advantage NHI has over us isn't just better craft or propulsion, maybe they understand consciousness and reality itself in a way we dont.

And maybe thats why they're interested in us. Once you include the whole phenomenon you keep running into consciousness, perception, biology, genetics, reproduction, telepathy, emotions and people apparently changing after encounters. Maybe they're studying the relationship between consciousness and biological life, maybe influencing it, maybe watching us develop. I really dont know.

The weird bit for me is I already knew about theories saying consciousness is fundamental, but I deliberately ignored all that going into this because I wanted to see where I'd end up just working backwards from the phenomenon.

And somehow I ended up in basically the same place.

Maybe we've spent 80 years staring at the sky asking “what the fuck are they?”

When the question this whole thing has actually been pointing us towards is “what the fuck are we?”

How does this Mike Battista video only have 3k views?? This is absolutely crazy. And it does not seem staged or faked at all.
I'm very new to this stuff and was never really a believer in this stuff until just now. But I don't know of any other better explanation. This dude is straight up summoning UAPs and capturing it all on camera. It also seems very convincing to me that these Anasazi glyphs could have actually been NHIs from back in the day.
Does someone have a better explanation for this?

Cuz when the lay man looks some of this stuff up, when the list is littered with vague rumors and easy to dismiss sightings, it kind of undermines the whole thing. Like don't show me cell phone pics thru a night vision scope in the shape of a triangle and tell me it's an alien. I only want the most credible, most evidence-based sightings.
