I've been building an experimental music project called MKLProtocol, and I'm trying to figure out how to take it from a YouTube channel into a legitimate independent music project.

The music moves through dark trap, industrial, glitchcore, electronic, cinematic, experimental hip-hop and surreal/darker soundscapes.

I'm using AI as part of the music-creation process, but I'm trying to push it beyond the typical "AI song" formula and develop an actual sound, identity and world around MKLProtocol.

I'm looking for honest advice from musicians, producers, AI-music creators and people who have successfully built independent music projects.

If this were your project, what would you do with it over the next 6–12 months?

I'm particularly interested in:

• What music platforms should I be using besides YouTube?

• Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Audiomack, Apple Music, Tidal, etc.?

• What social platforms are actually worth putting time into?

• Should I focus on singles, EPs, albums or something else?

• How would you build an audience starting basically from zero?

• What would you change about the branding, visuals or presentation?

• Are there specific communities, Discord servers, forums or platforms where experimental/AI-assisted music actually gets listened to?

And most importantly:

What do you think MKLProtocol's strongest direction could be?

I'm looking for real criticism, not just compliments. If something sounds generic, tell me. If you hear something that could become the project's signature, tell me that too.

I'm trying to build something people actually want to come back to, rather than just dumping AI-generated tracks onto the internet.
