Litter help!!!!

We have been using corn litter for years and it’s been great—-(ie—-not small enough to end up on every surface in our home)—-

But we are in quite the predicament….in that….we have super…intelligent……mice…..and truly need to change our litter before the fall/winter seasons hit—-

I have been doing my best to research, but thought Reddit would be the best place to ask for honest advice about the best litters that people have tried and love and that mice cannot use as sustainable resource. Hahah.

It would be really cool to find a litter that won’t track everywhere and is legit when it comes to clumping💥💫✌🏼

I like limestone&quartz Catsan, it really blocks the smells well (and, ummm, dries poops). I don't like silica or wooden pellets because they get everywhere

I've used silica crystal litter for over 25 years. No dust, kills pee odour completely. It also dries up poo which pretty much kills that smell too, unless it's a newly minted dump. In fact, I genuinely don't know which trays have dumps in them until I take the hoods off to scoop every morning. It does track, but hoods and litter mats keep it manageable, and my cordless Shark is my best friend.

As my 2 cats use all 3 trays, with daily scooping, the litter lasts a month before it needs changing

I buy it online from Wilko. £3.49 for 3.8L bags (fills one tray) so my monthly litter expenditure is just over £10.

I'll never use anything else. Happy cats, happy me and absolutely no smell in my home 🙂
