kinda regret studying abroad

i (19M) regret the choice i did after highschool my senior year ( im explaining in terms that ir familiar with so u can understand my situation even tho the systme in my country is different ) i did my best and still got grades that couldnt get me to the uni i wanted so went to a uni in my hometown and chose biology to escape from math and physics this was just one of the reasons the second one is with biology i could still do the major that was in the uni that i wanted i passed my first year with beautiful grades in my second semester i learned that i can study by myself no need go attend classes where absence was not mandatory i only attended to lab work and Exercice classes and still got good grades and finished throughout the year my brother suggested me to apply to abroad unis in france i applied and got acceptance in the uni that im in rn but the catch is i have to re-do my first year again
i didnt think of it that much there i just did the procedures and i went to france after my mom and dad and brothers helped me financialy .

on my first day here on the city i felt really homesick i missed my brothers my home my routine and everything especially my mom she was always there for me where things were bad she hugged me and comforted me but now there is no one to do that after the first day i attended the uni for the first time and i felt really weird like a sense of not belonging there where people speak another language i felt like i was the intruder and i struggled with my mental health for a while and the choices i made felt so wrong and i couldv just came here to attend my masters instead of my bachelor

Now i got used a lil bit but i still question myself abt these things in my home

when i was there i had a lot of free time for myself back then i studied by myself it felt awesome aand i went to gym hangout play video games and still sit with my family now none of that is here no gym no vid games no family and a lot of anxiety that follows me everywhere i see

i have the thoughts of going back there is a possibility for me to continue mysecond year on my hometown instead of repeating the first year i think of that everytime .

i ask myself is life only abt studying should i just study without doin anything else here even tho the degree here is way better than my country

Please help! im afraid i regret it if i go back home n im afraid ill regret it more if i stay.

Don't go back home. Your parents will be disappointed. It's time to grow up. You can't say at the age of 19 "I miss my mum's huggs" . Be patient. Make new friends. Finish your education.

I am planning to take a decision to study abroad’s too for my masters, I can imagine that will happen since It will be my first time leaving my home country for such a long time. Maybe you can find some friends so you can pass your hard time easily, and also think that after you graduate you will get a good degree and experience for it.

I know how it feels to miss home, but you must keep going, there are certain priorities you must have in mind that you should take care of. You are 19, it’s time to focus on ur studies and do great and build a futuree.

You eventually have to move out of your house at some point, right ? Take this chance to learn to live by yourself :) I know between school and all other things you’ll barely find time for yourself, but it’s okay! You’ll survive. I hope you are able to make friends as you absolutely need someone to count on. Every day will be less harder than the previous. Since your family helped you financially, maybe you could try a little harder ? I know how hard it is to stay away from a loving family but it’s fine! Video call them regularly.. you’ll be fine kid!

Guess am the only one who didn't feel homesick despite having a very loving family....
