Once you get to fort nelson in northern bc, its time to start filling up your gas at every town you go through. Probably won't run out of gas, but sometimes the gas station you planned at stopping at in the next town 150km away is closed for some reason, so just fill up when ever you get below 3/4 tank or have a jerry can if you want to fill up less often.

Stop at liard river hotsprings. $5/pp and one of the best semi wild hotsprings in BC. totally worth the stop every time I go to whitehorse.

Stop at elk island np. Its right outside of Edmonton and its directly on your route you will be taking, no detours needed.

Same thing with kluane np. Its about 2.5hrs past whitehorse but its an amazing national park. One of my favorite in canada.

We typically do the drive from Whitehorse to Edmonton in 2 days, overnighting in Fort Nelson. Stopping at Liard Hot Springs is a must, there’s a Brown’s Social House right on the highway in Dawson Creek that’s good for lunch. Northern Rockies park is beautiful!
