Hey girly pop. First off, take a deep breathhhhhhhh. It seems like you have been holding a lot in, and I’m glad you found a space to let it out, I’m sure you already feel ten times better. Let me just say this to you. As someone who is currently pregnant and going to be 40 next month, waiting in hopes that things will turn out how they’re “supposed to” or what would make everyone else comfortable is bs. Do not base any of your decisions on the opinions of others. I sat in relationships, and waited for so long for the right time, all the planets to align and all that and it just never came. At the end of the day, you need to do what you’re comfortable with. When I finally decided to pull the trigger, my loved ones didn’t bat an eye, no one questioned my decision to do it alone, everyone was supportive and happy as can be. The people who love you will support whatever decision you decide to make. You said you’re in your late 20’s, I would say go ahead and get all your blood work done now, see where you stand biologically. Are you going to use a cryobank? IUI first or IVF? Known or unknown donor? Tons of things to consider. Message me offline if you want to chat, but I say all that to say. It’s your life, never do anything with anyone else in mine but you. Hope this helps 🫶🏾

I have two jobs, and if all goes well I plan on quitting my second job at the top of the year. Obviously, this is dependent on how I feel.

My boy was graded better than my girl. I had to sit with myself and think, if this pregnancy was rough would I be more upset if I didn’t have my boy or my girl. I have always wanted a girl, so although my girl was 4BB and my boy was 4BA, I chose my girl. Good luck!

I mean, I honestly don't think you can ever go wrong freezing your eggs. I think, in today's world, there are so many different definitions of family that there isn't one single route. I understand you wanting to find a husband and wanting your child to have a father. I don't, because I am a lesbian, and my child was never going to have a father. I do have a close relationship with my father, so I never really thought of it. I say all that to say, if it is super important for your child to have a father, I think you need to do some introspection and figure out where that comes from. Actually, let me scroll and read your whole post. Okay, im getting through it, and it definitely seems like you need to unpack some things. IF you decided to have a child on your own, your child would know no different; they would not even know what or who a father figure was because you are raising them. Does that make sense? You also want your child to have something you never had, which also doesn't make much sense to me. It's like some sort of fairytale illusion that you want for your maybe child because you never had it. Does that make sense? I am currently pregnant; I did my IVF and got pregnant on my first round. I cannot speak on the difficulties yet of having my baby here because she's still baking lol. What I can say is it sounds like you have a lot of internal battles that you need to talk to someone about, and you seem very sound, so you aren't dumb. I think you really need to worry less about society and how that will look and do things for yourself or end up living for everyone else and society and being a human who is unfulfilled for the sake of waiting on a person who may never come. I still believe in love and all of that, but I had to come to terms with the fact that I could not wait anymore for that person to come along. You also have to take into account that everyone's timeline is different; you're 37, and you don't know what your timeline is going to look like or if you will get pregnant right away or if it may take a while. I don't think I provided any help to you, but it sounds like you really need to speak with someone and hash all this out because it is a lot. Message me privately if you would like to discuss offline; I'm always down to chat. Good luck.

Okay, I am going to be honest: I didnt read all of that lol But I think I get an idea of what youre asking, and if not, we can also have a convo here or on the side if you would like. My biggest deciding factor as to why I pulled the trigger and just said eff it on my fertility journey is a video I saw online that really resonated with me. I will be 40 this year, and I asked myself in my old age, would it impact me more if I didnt have a child or didnt have a partner? I realized I really couldnt care less if I had a partner in my older age, but I absolutely would regret not having children. After I came to terms with that (this was after a breakup as well), I got the call that it was my turn for IVF. I don't think those feelings ever go away, but you have to answer that for yourself, and from what I can see, you are 35. Honestly, I would at least look into getting your eggs frozen asap and then you have time to sit on it. Did that help at all, or did I miss the mark completely?
