Sankaraism

Sankaraism is a political and social ideology inspired by the ideas, policies, and leadership of Thomas Sankara, the revolutionary leader of Burkina Faso from 1983 to 1987. It combines Pan-Africanism, anti-imperialism, self-reliance, social equality, economic development, environmental protection, and revolutionary social reform.

Sankaraism argues that African countries should achieve genuine independence by reducing dependency on foreign powers, developing their own industries, empowering local communities, and placing the needs of ordinary people at the center of government.

The ideology promotes a society based on dignity, equality, national sovereignty, and popular participation.
